After your 40’s the flex isn’t being “booked and busy” it’s enjoying a life that involves having balance. It took me a while but I’ve realized my worth is now measured by what I don’t have to do. Long gone are the days where I rush out of my son’s games for a wedding gig or come home so late from the studio that we end up at a drive‑thru instead of sharing a homemade meal. Experience has taught me that time is not on sale and there are no refunds for missed moments.
So after a wonderful decade of makeup, brows, photoshoots, classes and weddings I am officially retiring from all in‑person services. Married life kindly taught me how to slow down, enjoy quiet mornings, take midday naps, and be a present wife and mother. At this stage in time it feels good to intentionally slow down and enjoy life. I’ve been grinding for a long time…first job at 14 and been hustling since! My priority now is seeing my family grow and showing up for every real life moment.
The good news is that Dusk to Dawn Cosmetics will still be available online.
The studio will be repurposed as my private mental health consulting practice and perhaps a monthly Dusk to Dawn pop-up shop!
To everyone who supported the service side of Dusk to Dawn Cosmetics I love you, thank you, and appreciate you! Your support helped me reach this stage of life and now it’s time to sail into this thing they now call the “soft-wife life era” lol
To anyone reading this, give yourself permission to rest and do less on purpose. Saying no has turned my life from a crowded inbox into a curated gallery with fewer obligations, less burnout and finally room to breathe. Your health, relationships, and peace of mind are so worth it!
With sincere gratitude and many thanks,
