Did You Know?

On July 4, 1914, Dodge City hosted the first major 300-mile motorcycle race in the United States, famously known as the Dodge City 300.

Sanctioned by the Federation of American Motorcyclists, the inaugural race brought riders and spectators from across the country to Ford County.

Over 100 years later, it’s still one of the many stories that makes our community’s history so unique.

Kiowa Mobile Clinic is updating our days and locations, and we want to make sure everyone knows exactly where to find us:

🚐 Bucklin – Main Street
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM

🚐 Dodge City – WIT Athletics parking lot
Mondays & Fridays, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

We’re closed on Wednesdays!

Whether it’s a check-up, a physical, or a visit when you’re feeling under the weather, we’re bringing local care closer to home for the families who make this community home.

Come see us at a stop near you, and feel free to share this with a neighbor who might need it.

This is what we mean by care closer to home. No long drive, no big-city waiting room, just our team showing up for the neighbors who make this community home.

Kiowa Mobile Clinic is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team and help bring healthcare closer to home for neighbors across Bucklin, Dodge City, and the surrounding rural communities.

You’d be out in the community, getting to know patients and families, providing the everyday care that makes a real difference, wellness checks, preventive care, treating illnesses, and building the kind of trust that comes from showing up where people already are.

You’d have the support of the full Kiowa County Memorial Hospital team behind you every step of the way.

The wind may have closed our doors for a bit, but we’re back where we belong, right here in our community.

After closing last week for safety during the high winds, Kiowa Mobile Clinic is back to regular hours and we have missed every one of you! 💚

A couple of things to know this week:

📍 Bucklin - Main Street, Tuesday through Thursday.
*Heads up: this Thursday we’ll close early at 12:00 PM.*

📍 Dodge City - WIT Athletics parking lot, Friday as always, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Thank you for your patience while we waited out the weather. It feels good to be back caring for the neighbors who make this place home.💚

Every mile on this road is a mile someone doesn’t have to drive to see a provider. 🌾

That’s the whole idea behind the Mobile Health Unit.

Kiowa Mobile Clinic, part of Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, travels out to the communities we serve so good, local care meets you where you already are.

Look for us on Main Street in Bucklin, Tuesday through Thursday (9:00–3:30), and at the WIT Athletics parking lot in Dodge City on Fridays (10:00–3:00).

💨🌬️ We’re sorry for any inconvenience! Our Mobile Clinic has been closed this week due to high wind speeds. For the safety of our patients and staff, we are unable to operate during severe wind conditions because of our awning and slide-out equipment. 🚐💙

☀️ The good news is that we will be back in Dodge City tomorrow!
