We are Relocating! On Monday, April 6, 2026 - Root Cause will begin seeing patients 1.2 miles from our current Harrison office, in West Harrison, Indiana. All Root Cause practitioners will be under one roof at 111 N. State Street, West Harrison, IN 47060. We are excited to bring our Batesville and Harrison teams together in one space with expanded health offerings.

AccuDoc Urgent Care is transitioning to Root Cause Integrative Functional Medicine. AccuDoc Urgent Care is closing.

More than 22 years ago, Dr. Austin opened the first Urgent Care in Batesville, a family-owned private practice. We have had the opportunity to work with amazing healthcare providers and have treated the best community.
Over a year ago, Root Cause Integrative Functional Medicine, an integrative functional medicine practice was created. It offers longer appointment times and is what we believe healthcare is meant to be.
As a result of the positive reception Root Cause Integrative Functional Medicine has received, we will be expanding those services and transitioning away from urgent care. This practice operates outside the restrictions of insurance conglomerates.
Effective February 1, our Batesville location will no longer accept walk-in patients at AccuDoc Urgent Care.
We will continue to provide urgent health care/same day appointments and Telehealth services to our Root Cause Integrative Functional Medicine members via our Batesville and Harrison offices. Learn more at www.accudocrootcause.com

Due to extreme difficulty receiving reimbursements from laboratory companies, beginning January 1, our office will no longer draw blood for patients who have an order outside AccuDoc and Root Cause practices.
If your lab order was ordered by an AccuDoc or Root Cause practitioner, we will be happy to do the lab draw.
Please understand this change was not made lightly. The struggles of healthcare reimbursements forced us to make this decision. For 20 years we have been happy to work as a lab draw site. We have to constantly make changes in order to continue serving our patients.

Cases of Norovirus are in our area. It is highly contagious and the symptoms include sudden-onset vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach cramps. Other common symptoms include nausea, fever, headache, muscle aches, and a general feeling of tiredness.
Possible treatments include injection of anti-nausea medication, IV fluids and prescriptions for anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medication.
