Mason is no longer in 2nd place. I'm not sure where he is in line but I know the number 1 spot has over $4,000 in donations! The walk is Saturday so who wants to help Mason get to 2nd or even 1st???? It's for a great cause so please donate or share!

Happy Hold Day to Mason! 7 years ago today I finally got to hold my baby. For 1 whole month he did not get to be held. He could only be on his belly until his back healed. Don't forgot to look for my post to send a donation to the Spina Bifida clinic! The walk is next weekend!

Mason was born July 14th and we held him for the first time 3 years ago today! The nurses handed him to us like this and I didn't move him out of that position. Day 14 they were going to turn him over on his back and day 13 it busted open so plastic surgery had to do more work which meant Mason had to lay on his belly longer. Today also made his first time being able to lay on his side or back!

Mason had his sedated MRI on Tuesday. Nurses don't typically listen to the parents and they ended up putting an IV in an arm that I told them wouldn't work and they blew his vein. I usually tell them absolutely not but I thought I'd let them give it a try just in case that vein would work for once. It didn't... Anyway, when they brought him back, she said I got it in the leg you said it would work in.... 🙄 His hydrocephalus is stable and ventricles look great. He barely has Chiari Malformation Type ll. That's the cerebellum pulled into the neck. It's almost back where it should be. He said his spine looks like it has more room in it compared to the past images. He said that he has no concern for tethered cord right now. Mason does have an arachnoid cyst from C4 to T4 and a syrinx. He told me to keep doing what I'm doing because it's working and he's looking pretty good. We will go back next year for another one.
