It's always rewarding to hear from participants how a program has made an impact on their lives and the lives of their families. That's just the case for Danielle who shares about the positive influence Healthy Families Seven Rivers has had on her journey through motherhood.

Beginning July 1st, Healthy Families Seven Rivers will concentrate its efforts on serving families in Jefferson, Madison, and Taylor Counties, allowing for increased outreach and engagement throughout those communities. Families in Hamilton and Lafayette Counties will continue to be served by Lutheran Services Florida.

Thank you to everyone who came out this past Saturday to support the Jefferson County Baby Expo! From vendors to volunteers- we couldn't have done it without you! It was so wonderful to see attendees enjoying themselves while learning about all of the local resources available to them. Not to mention seeing them smiling with arms full of free gifts+prizes! A special shoutout to our volunteers from NFC and Boyz to Kings for assisting with setting up, helping people load up their items, and being helpful in every way!

Today we celebrate 35 years of Florida Healthy Start! 🎉

Created on June 4, 1991 by Governor Lawton Chiles to improve birth outcomes and support healthy child development, the Florida Healthy Start program remains instrumental in reducing infant mortality and helping Florida families navigate pregnancy, childbirth, and the important early years of child growth and development.

We are grateful for the enduring support of the Florida Legislature, state agencies, and our community partners. Most importantly, we are grateful for the families who invite us into their homes and their lives and allow us the privilege of supporting them and their babies. 💗

Great Safe Sleep tips for this warmer weather!

Keeping a baby’s room cool in summer can be difficult, but it’s crucial. Overheating can put an infant at risk for SIDS. The AAP recommends keeping your baby’s room between 68 and 72 degrees Fahrenheit. In addition to the safe sleep recommendations, use these tips to ensure baby sleeps comfortably and safely during naps and nights.
