Landon Hall Tatum: CDH + CHD Journey

Our story about Landon and our battle with CDH and CHD Landon Hall Tatum. Born January 31, 2018. Landon was born with two congenital defects. CDH and CHD.

CDH = Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia
CHD = Congenital Heart Defect (Tetraology of Fallot)

Landon spent 323 days in the hospital battling these two defects. We spent the majority of the time in St. Petersburg, FL at Johns Hopkins All Children’s with Dr. Kays and his CDH team. We also spent six weeks at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital while Landon received his full heart repair. We’ve dedicated thi

s page to sharing Landon’s progress. We are so thankful for the love and support we continue to receive. We cannot wait to keep sharing Landon with all of you!

Seeing one of our favorites this morning at ENT!

Couple of appointments this week and next to see what this summer is going to bring as far as progress and goals for Landon.

We hit a wall back in December with a bad case of RSV and now this pollen season is really making it tough sometimes as well.

As of right now heart surgery has been slid to later in the year to hopefully get Landon off his vent at nights and ultimately get that trach out for good!

Six years ago today (ten days before his first birthday!) we brought Landon home to Greenville, SC from St. Petersburg, Florida.

Landon update! ♥️

This morning Landon had his yearly-ish exploratory bronch with ENT and pulmonology.

He did very well and everything looked good! We were told that he has a “healthy airway” and we couldn’t be more thankful for that. We will continue to follow up as normal with ENT and pulmonology.

Last week, Landon saw his cardiologist and had an echo done. His echo is still consistent with his previous echos. We are waiting for the right time to have his pulmonary valve procedure at MUSC. Until his team feels it’s the right time, we will continue what we are doing!

We are unbelievably blessed and overjoyed by the progress that Landon has made in all aspects of life. He has grown so much in the last few months (thank you, kindergarten and his therapy team!🤗) and is growing up right before our eyes.

Please pray for Landon and many more good days for him!
