Consider this your annual reminder that laser hair removal season is coming.

And if you’ve been saying “I should really do that” every time you shave your bikini line for the third time in a week… this is the year.

We love laser hair removal in the fall for a reason. Less sun exposure means less active pigment in the skin, which gives us a better environment to safely target the pigment in the hair follicle. It also makes the timing make sense: laser hair removal isn’t one-and-done. Hair grows in cycles, so you need a series of treatments spaced out over time to actually get the result you’re after.

Start in the fall → stay consistent through the winter → be significantly less concerned with your razor by summer.

At The SKN Lab, we use a dual-wavelength laser that allows our providers to customize treatment based on your skin + hair type. It’s especially worth considering if you have darker, coarser unwanted hair, constantly deal with razor burn or ingrowns, or are simply very over planning your life around shaving.

The goal isn’t “never see a hair again after one appointment.” The goal is long-term hair reduction, finer + slower regrowth, fewer ingrowns, smoother skin, and way less maintenance.

So enjoy the last few weeks of summer.
