As the seasons change, the trees remind us that strength can be found even in change because the roots are still keeping it firmly planted.

For patients and families walking through serious illness, each day can bring changes new challenges, new routines, and moments that require patience and courage. You don't have to have all the answers.

Sometimes, being strong simply means taking one day at a time, leaning on one another, and finding beauty in the moments you share.

September 23 was National Checkers Day! ❤️🖤

Wren Hospice had a wonderful time celebrating with the residents at Restoration At Simpsonville Memory Care. A friendly game of checkers, a little popcorn, plenty of smiles, and some good old-fashioned fun made for a great afternoon.

Sometimes it’s the simplest activities that create the sweetest moments of connection, laughter, and fellowship. We’re always grateful for opportunities to spend time with our community partners and the residents they serve.

💙 SUPPORT SUNDAY: Helping you understand hospice, one conversation at a time.

For today’s Support Sunday, we’re talking about recognizing the signs that it may be time to consider hospice. Hospice isn’t just about the final days of life — it’s about making sure patients and families have the comfort, support, and resources they need when an illness begins to significantly affect everyday life.

Frequent hospitalizations or ER visits, progressive decline, increased weakness, weight loss or poor appetite, needing more help with daily activities, or symptoms that continue to worsen despite treatment can all be signs that it may be time to start the conversation.

Recognizing these changes doesn’t mean you have to make a decision today. Sometimes the most important first step is simply asking questions, understanding your options, and learning how hospice can help.

🏈 Know the signs. Make the right call. Because when it comes to the people we love, it’s more than a game — it’s about comfort, dignity, and quality of life. 💙
