💙Thoughtful Thursday💙

As the seasons change, we're reminded that every day holds an opportunity for something meaningful- a moment of connection, a cherished memory, a quiet conversation, or simply the comfort of being together.

The team at Wren Hospice understands that new beginnings don't always mean starting something entirely new. Sometimes, they mean choosing to embrace today, to find beauty in the little moments, and to make space for love, peace, and gratitude.

May this new day remind you to slow down, cherish the people beside you, and fill your canvas with moments that matter.

🌸🌼 Growing Memories & Making Flowers! 🌼🌸

What a sweet afternoon at The Pines at Greenville Assisted Living and Memory Care ! 💐 Residents had a wonderful time getting creative and making colorful candy bouquets to fill their flower pots.

The smiles, laughter, and time spent together are what make moments like these so special. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to The Pines for inviting Wren Hospice to join in the fun. We’re grateful for every opportunity to connect with our community, make memories, and bring a little extra joy to the day. 💙

September is National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month. This reminds us that behind every smile, there may be a story we cannot see—and that sometimes, the weight of grief, loneliness, or emotional pain can feel overwhelming.

In the care Wren provides, we witness the power of presence, compassion, and connection. A listening ear, a gentle word, or simply sitting beside someone can remind them that they are not alone.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out. Asking for help is a sign of courage, not weakness. There is hope, and there are people who want to listen.

This month, let’s make an intentional effort to check on one another, listen without judgment, and remind those around us that their lives matter and they are never a burden.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
Be the reason someone feels seen, heard, and loved today.

🎶 Elvis has entered the building… and he’s ready to entertain! 🎶

Our Chaplain Bryan is wonderful at caring for our patients - but apparently, he’s also pretty good at channeling the King of Rock ’n’ Roll! 🕺🏼🎤

Bryan recently brought a little Elvis magic to Union Post Acute, sharing plenty of music, smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of fun with the residents.

At Wren Hospice, we believe some of the most meaningful moments come from simply connecting with people and bringing a little joy to their day. We’re grateful for team members like Bryan who bring their own unique gifts to the people and communities we serve. ❤️

Thank you, Bryan, for going above and beyond to create special moments and memories!

And in the words of the King…

“Thank you, thank you very much!” 🎤✨

Elvis has left the building! 🎶🕺🏼

💙National Grief Awareness Day💙

Today we pause to acknowledge the many faces of grief.

Grief is not something to "get over." It is love finding a new way to exist after loss. It looks different for everyone. Sometimes it's tears, sometimes it's silence, sometimes it's laughter at a cherished memory. There is no right or wrong way to grieve.

If you are carrying the weight of loss today, know that you are not alone. Give yourself permission to feel, to remember, and to heal at your own pace. Every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful.

Let's also take time to reach out to those who are grieving. A simple call, a listening ear, or a kind word can remind someone that they don't have to walk this journey alone.

Together, we can create a community where every story is heard, every loss is honored, and every heart is met with kindness.

Because while grief changes us, love never leaves.

💙 SUPPORT SUNDAY: Helping you understand hospice, one conversation at a time.

Hospice isn’t giving up. It’s adding another team of people dedicated to helping patients and their loved ones experience greater comfort, dignity, and support.

At Wren Hospice, we believe the best care happens when we work together. Physicians, nurses, facility teams, caregivers, families, and hospice professionals each bring something important to the patient’s journey—and together, we’re on the same team.

When hospice becomes appropriate, our team works alongside the patient’s existing care team to provide an additional layer of specialized support, including:

🏈 Expert symptom and pain management
🏈 Emotional and spiritual support
🏈 Care wherever the patient calls home
🏈 Education and support for families and caregivers
🏈 Bereavement support for loved ones

Choosing hospice doesn’t mean choosing less care. It means shifting the focus toward comfort, quality of life, and helping patients make the most of the time that matters most.

Know a patient, family, or healthcare professional who could benefit from learning more about hospice? Please share this post. Sometimes, starting the conversation is the most important first step.
