Getting hands-on experience with FEES under the supervision with Emma Henry with Henry Mobile FEES

Grad SLP student Sarah Kate is getting valuable real-world experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and seeing firsthand how instrumental assessments help guide clinical decision-making. Our assessment today led this patient to an upgraded diet from NPO 👏🏼👏🏼

May is Speech-Language-Hearing Month, and today we’re proud to recognize and celebrate our incredible Speech-Language Pathologists!

Our SLPs make a lasting difference every day by helping patients regain their voice, strengthen communication, improve cognition, and safely return to the activities that matter most. Their compassion, dedication, and expertise change lives in ways that often go unseen but are deeply impactful.

Thank you to our amazing SLP, Whitney Havens, for the care you provide to every patient and family you serve. Whitney works hard to help our patients overcome their deficits!

Alongside Whitney is Emma Henry, MS, CCC-SLP, our clinical FEES specialist! Emma travels to GLC to perform our instrumental swallowing studies, allowing greater ease and convenience for our patients! We are so thankful for you going the extra mile for us!!

This team makes a huge impact on our patients! We are so grateful to have their resources on staff!

Today was Ashlyn’s last day at work, and we are so incredibly thankful for all of her hard work, kindness, and dedication. She has been such a blessing to everyone around her, and she will truly be missed. Wishing her nothing but happiness and success in this next chapter!

Student Spotlight 👩‍🎓💡

This is Ja’kora Eskridge, our OTA student whose dedication, compassion, and drive are already making an impact. Ja’kora has been training here at GLC for the past 8 weeks. This is Jakora’s last rotation, & graduation is right around the corner!
We have loved having her here! Her bright smile and creativity have shined each day. We’re so excited to see her be an occupational therapy professional committed to helping others regain independence and improve quality of life. We wish Ja’kora the best as she starts her new career!

We can’t let National OT month go without bragging on ours, Katie-Noelle Faulkner🥳🥳 Katie-Noelle has a special passion for the field of Occupational Therapy. Her compassion, dedication, and skill make her a standout COTA, and she is such a valuable asset to our therapy department! She makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients here at GLC. She is loved by all!

Katie-Noelle is currently continuing her education and achieving her MOT degree. We are especially proud of her commitment to continued growth as she takes the exciting step to become an Occupational Therapist. She will walk the stage in just a few short months.

We are so proud of you, Katie-Noelle, and grateful to have you on our team at GLC!

Today we celebrate Mr. Lancaster as he moves on to the next step in his care journey. His perseverance, positivity, and dedication to therapy have made a lasting impression on our team.
