Walking Together for a Cause!

Part of the Eternal Hope team was proud to participate in the Atlanta Walk to End Colon Cancer, joining others in our community to raise awareness, honor those affected, and support the fight against colorectal cancer.

Every step helps bring awareness to the importance of early detection, screening, and continued support for patients and families.

Together, we can make a difference!

Caring for someone living with dementia can be overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. 💜

The Lamar County Dementia Caregiver Support Group offers a place to connect with others who understand, share experiences, ask questions, and find encouragement along the way.

🗓 Next meeting: October 22 at 10:00 AM
📍 First United Methodist Church, Barnesville, GA

Whether you're caring for a spouse, parent, or loved one, having someone who understands can make all the difference.

Please share! You never know who may need a little extra support.

Going through chemotherapy for breast cancer can bring fatigue, nausea, pain, anxiety, appetite changes, and so many other challenges.

Palliative care provides an extra layer of support while treatment continues—helping manage symptoms, improve comfort, and support both the patient and their family.

You don’t have to wait until treatment stops to ask for more support.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, remember: Palliative care is about helping you live as well as possible through every stage of your journey.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Behind every pink ribbon is a person, a family, and a story.

This month, we celebrate survivors, stand beside those currently fighting, remember those we’ve lost, and support the families and caregivers walking alongside them.
Whether someone is newly diagnosed, undergoing treatment, living with advanced cancer, or simply needs extra support—no one should have to face serious illness alone.

Hope. Strength. Support.

One of the questions I get asked ALL the time is: “If I choose hospice, will my medications still be covered?”

The short answer is yes—medications related to your hospice diagnosis and comfort are generally covered as part of your hospice benefit. And choosing hospice does not automatically mean stopping all of your other medications.

Every medication is reviewed individually based on your diagnosis, goals of care, and what is still beneficial for you.

Questions about hospice? You don’t have to wait until there’s a crisis to ask. I’m always happy to help explain what hospice care actually looks like.

Just a little hospice nurse perspective tonight…...

Hospice isn’t about giveaways, likes, shares, or being the name you see the most.

It’s about who shows up when a family is scared.

Who answers the hard questions.
Who helps manage the symptoms.
Who sits down, listens, and makes sure a family understands their choices.

Hospice care isn’t something that should need a prize attached to it to get your attention. When the time comes, ask questions. Know your options. Choose the hospice that feels right for your family.

Because at the end of the day, the care will always matter more than the marketing.

Hospice doesn’t mean families stop caring for their loved one. It means they have a team there to help carry the load. You don’t have to navigate it alone.
