Join us for our final Journey of the Drums Sound Journey offered through Grove City Parks and Rec on Monday, June 8th at 6:30pm. 🪘🎶

This offering combines a rhythmic sound experience with gentle, individualized energy-based techniques designed to support relaxation and overall well-being. Participants will experience the grounding rhythms of ceremonial and tribal drums. The steady, repetitive patterns are known to support relaxation, help calm the nervous system, and encourage a sense of presence and connection.

Our Journey of the Drums experience is designed to help participants step away from daily distractions and reconnect with the body through sound, rhythm, and guided awareness, creating space for balance and restoration.

Each Sound Journey includes:
🧘‍♀️ A guided meditation with a new theme each month
💆‍♀️ Gentle, hands-on energy work (optional)
🎶 Sound and vibrational techniques intended to support relaxation and restoration
💜 A calm, welcoming environment for rest and reflection

Our Sound Journey series is facilitated by a husband-and-wife team. Monika is a Reiki Master, certified Sound Healer, and practitioner of multiple energy-based modalities. Derek is Reiki 1 and Animal Reiki certified and is a lifelong musician with experience playing drums, singing bowls, guitar, and native-inspired wood flutes.

If you've ever walked away from a conversation feeling completely drained… if you've poured your heart into someone who barely noticed… if you've said yes when every part of you was screaming no, this is your reminder that you are not too much. You've just been giving to the wrong places. 💜

There is nothing wrong with your beautiful, open heart. But growth teaches us that boundaries aren't walls, they're wisdom. They're the quiet declaration that says my energy matters too.

It's not always easy to choose hope when life feels heavy. But the moment you do, something changes. Not always around you at first, but in you.

When you lead with gratitude, you start noticing what's already beautiful. When you move through the world with kindness, doors open that you didn't even know existed. And when you protect your mindset like the sacred space it is… magic happens.

Your thoughts are not just thoughts. They're the lens through which you experience everything.

We put a lot of heart, thought, and soul into creating our Sound Journey experiences. Our Sound Journey's may only last an hour but we put many more hours in behind the scenes to make them extra special. Between creating a new theme each month, writing & perfecting a new meditation to share, the packing up of my instruments at The Soul Sanctuary, gathering all of the extra things I keep at home, packing up the car tetris style to fit it all, hauling it all to the Parks and Rec building, then to unpack everything with multiple trips back and forth to the car, setting up the table, the instruments, and all the lighting effects to create the perfect vibe for our participants. Everyone is also offered a bottle of vibrationally charged water and mints before they leave to enjoy on their way home.

We loved hosting our Crystal Vibrations Sound Journey's for the community and are glad for all of the support we have received since starting them 5 months ago. Don't miss our final, Journey of the Drums Sound Journey on Monday, June 8th at 6:30pm. We'll be going out with a bang! *Pun intended 🪘🥁

One drop. Every day.

That's it. That's the practice.

We live in a world that glorifies the grand gesture, the big breakthrough, the dramatic transformation, the overnight glow-up. But real change? Real healing? It doesn't happen in a single flood of effort.

It happens in the quiet, unglamorous act of showing up again.

Returning to your breath. Again.
Choosing yourself. Again.
Doing the small thing. Again.

You don't have to be intense. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to be consistent.
The rock doesn't change overnight but the water never stops dropping. And one day, you look up and realize... something shifted.

Something opened. Something that once felt impenetrable now has space in it.
