Crazy tattooing someone that you've known since they were just a few years old! How time flies!

This may not be the way everyone designs half sleeves, but it works for me! I wrap tracing paper around the client's arm...

This may not be the way everyone designs half sleeves, but it works for me!

I wrap tracing paper around the client's arm at the consultation and then I essentially "wear" it and sketch out the placement so that I can visualize exactly how it will sit.

Then I can draw the exact design in procreate and know that it will wrap and fit the client's arm perfectly.

I had something really cool happen yesterday!

I had two ladies who bought paintings from me at an art show in Madison WI YEEEAAAARS ago, drive from their respective houses in NC and TN to get tattooed by me!

So now they have my art on their walls AND their bodies! So special! ♥️♥️

Here's the first tattoo, and I'll post the other later/tomorrow.

My client got the outline of this tattoo done almost 12 years ago but decided she didn't like the way the original artist shaded their tattoos.

So here we are now finally finishing it off!

For this session, we worked on the texture of the tree and the bottom half of the Buddha.

Next session we will finish the Buddha and color the cherry blossoms with a fun watercolor effect.

I can't wait to see it all finished in a few weeks!
