Today, May 5th, we honor Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR).
This is an important day to honor those who have been lost and to recognize the ongoing crisis that continues to impact Native families and communities.
The red handprint is a symbol of stolen voices, honoring our Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives and calling out the silence that still remains.
We invite the community to stand with us by taking part in this awareness effort.
Wear red, place a red handprint across your face, and share your photo as a sign of remembrance, solidarity, and support.
πŸ“Έ Photos submitted will be shared throughout May to continue raising awareness and honoring our relatives.
Please submit photos to [email protected]
Your voice matters. Your presence matters.
Together, we remember. We honor. We stand together. ❀️
