Four new leaders. One shared commitment to supporting nurses in need. 💙
Nurses House is proud to welcome Susan Birkhead, DNS, MPH, RN, CNE; Maria (Meloi) Policastro, RN; Timothy Sperling, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, CEN; and Ann Tahaney, RN as Directors, each beginning a four-year term on our Board.

Their leadership and commitment to the nursing profession will help strengthen our work and carry forward the Nurses House mission: caring for those who have dedicated their lives to caring for others.

We’re excited for this next chapter and grateful to have Susan, Meloi, Timothy, and Ann helping lead the way.

A gift made in 1922 still echoes through Nurses House today. 🏠

Emily Bourne was not a nurse, but she understood how much nurses give in caring for others. Her bequest of $300,000 helped create a place of rest for nurses who were ill or exhausted, and that legacy became the foundation for the support we provide today.
