We had to tear down the ceiling that was here when we bought the house. It came down in 2017 due to animal waste from creatures living up there during the years it set empty. And this year Joei and Terri Priest got a ceiling back up!!! Now for the trim.... always something to do.

A small project but one I've been meaning to do for years. This is the inside of the door to our upstairs bathroom. It had alot of damage to the finish, scaling, and deep scars where a large dog had been unhappily shut inside at some point. I just repainted the bathroom and decided to finally tackle the old door. 1st photo was the process of smoothing out the old finish. After trying several things, a paint scraper worked best, along with a light sanding. 2nd photo is after filling in the deep scratches and hole marks. Then I sanded again, primed, and painted 2 coats.

Joei is back at it, doing a little demo to insulate and wire the entrance from the front porch. There was a patch in the floor, probably a heating vent. To level up the patch, they used some old newspaper pages, Boston Sunday Post, March 5,1939, 8 pages nicely preserved in color!

The river is low so it's clear how much erosion damage was caused by the flooding.
