🚨GCPC Weather & Transportation Update 🚨

Due to the continued flood watches and hazardous road conditions throughout Harrison County, GCPC will be canceling all bus transportation services Friday, 6/19/26.

Several staff members are currently unable to safely commute to the center due to flooding in their areas. As a result, we will be operating with limited staffing and will be reducing our hours of operation to 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM.

Families should carefully consider local road conditions before traveling, as many roads remain flooded and conditions may continue to change overnight.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to maintain safe operations for our children, families, and staff. We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates as needed.

GCPC Parent/Guardian Notice

Due to ongoing flooding concerns and road conditions, all afternoon bus routes have been canceled today.

GCPC will remain open, but all children must be picked up by 4:00 PM. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our patients, families, and staff.

If you have any questions or need to make alternative transportation arrangements, please contact the center.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Due to ongoing flooding concerns and hazardous road conditions in some areas, all GCPC morning bus routes have been canceled for today.

The center will remain open and will begin operating at its normal time of 7:30 a.m. Parents who are able to safely transport their child to the center may do so.

We will continue to closely monitor weather conditions, flooding reports, and road safety throughout the day. Any additional changes to transportation services or center operations will be communicated as information becomes available.

The safety of our patients, families, and staff remains our highest priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to monitor conditions and make decisions with everyone’s safety in mind.

Weather Monitoring Update for Families

We are closely monitoring the weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Arthur and are staying in contact with local emergency management and transportation resources.

Current forecasts indicate the potential for heavy rainfall, flash flooding, strong winds, isolated tornadoes, and rising water levels throughout our area. These conditions may affect roadways, transportation routes, and overall travel safety.

At this time, Gulf Coast Pediatric Care remains open and operating on its normal schedule. However, weather conditions may change rapidly. If flooding, road closures, or other hazardous conditions develop, adjustments to bus routes, operating hours, or center operations may become necessary.

Should any changes be required, we will notify families as soon as possible through Klara.

We encourage all families to monitor local weather forecasts and use caution while traveling. The safety of our patients, families, and staff remains our highest priority.
