I had planted 5 elephant garlic and 3 were ready. The leaves are yellowing, which means they are ready. I got a nice big one, a medium, and a small one. They smell amazing. Now to prime them for 2 weeks so they get their papery skin. Can’t wait for the rest! 🧄

Careful when you toss a vegetable with seeds anywhere, and definitely pick up fallen ones. A volunteer may pop up unexpectedly! 😂 I found a lemon squash outside my garden area, and now I need to figure out a border so no one mows over it.

I’m up potting my little tomato, and it’s great for those who don’t have space for growing plants. This can sit on a sunny porch or window.

After I removed the kale, I added compost to help regenerate the soil. I topped it off with mulch to help suppress weeds and maintain moisture until I’m ready to use the area again.

If you live with chronic illness, it may take time to get to certain tasks. However, you will get to it, like I did. I sent my kale to the great garden in the sky, along with a few caterpillars. 🐛 🥬
