At its core, we’re a healthcare technology service organization.

We support healthcare and academic organizations across a range of environments, from healthcare facilities and surgical centers to dental offices, research institutions, and more.

And our work spans more than one type of equipment, including medical, dental, surgical, laboratory, and research technology.

But after 50+ years of healthcare technology service, we know this work is about more than equipment.

It’s about people, collaboration, and continuing to learn as healthcare technology evolves.

During Andrea’s visit to CBET, she had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and discuss an important question:

💭 How can we continue to strengthen workforce development and increase visibility for HTM across the U.S. and Canada?

We are so grateful to be part of these conversations, and to be surrounded by people who are curious, collaborative, and committed to building the future of our industry.

Hands-on learning is a big part of that future. CBET is giving students the opportunity to learn by doing, work with different equipment and technologies, and gain practical experience that prepares them for the realities of HTM.

With Kyle Flynn joining our team as Dental Operations Lead of the Carolinas, DESCO is now proudly serving customers in 19 states.

Kyle is leading the growth of our Dental Division across North and South Carolina, and he’s already making an impact by building new customer relationships and helping expand our dental services throughout the region.

Throwback to last week 😆 !

During Andrea’s visit to the College of Biomedical Technicians (CBET), instructor Ray shared this older autoclave and explained that before automated dry cycles, staff would simply open the door and let instruments air dry after sterilization.

Technology has come a long way—and it continues to evolve every day.

One of the most exciting parts of Healthcare Technology Management is that there’s always something new to learn. As medical equipment advances, so do the skills needed to keep it running safely and reliably.

That’s what makes places like CBET so valuable: they’re helping prepare the next generation of BMETs through hands-on learning, practical experience, and an appreciation for both the history and future of medical technology.
