REAL TALK ABOUT THE DEBATE OVER HRT

What I rarely hear said: HRT is a tool. So is nutrition. So is sleep. So are strength training and stress management and hydration and knowing your labs.

None of them are THE answer.
Your right answer is unique to you.

I have clients who use HRT and feel like themselves again. I have clients who don’t use HRT and feel great. I have clients who are still figuring it out.

All of them are right.
All of them are working with their bodies to feel their best.

What I reject — and I do reject it — is the idea that women have to pick a camp. That you’re either doing this naturally or you’re taking the easy way out.

That's not how biology works.

I help my clients understand all the tools available to them to feel great in the second half of life so they can make informed decisions about their health.

Women are being manipulated by fear.

A study came out in 2002. It scared doctors and women away from HRT for two decades.

And here's the thing — it was a flawed study. Wrong women, wrong hormones, wrong time of life. The outcomes taught us a lot. But the fear? The fear outlasted the science.

Many women right now are going through perimenopause without real information because their doctors learned from a study that didn't represent them.

That's not okay.

I want to be clear: HRT is not right for every woman. It doesn't work equally for all symptoms. And it is absolutely a personal choice.

But making an informed choice requires real information — not fear.

This week I'm teaching what your hormones actually do, what happens when they shift, and what HRT can (and genuinely cannot) do.

Because you deserve to see the whole picture. We all do. Women going through this now, and the ones who will come after!

🌺 If you’re new in my world… Hi! I’m Amy.
I’m a Registered Dietitian and Certified Health Coach, and I specialize in perimenopause nutrition. And I want to tell you exactly who I’m here for.

I’m here for the woman who is doing everything she’s always done — eating well, exercising, trying to take care of herself — and suddenly nothing is working the way it used to. And I'm here for the woman who can barely get through the day, let alone do all those things!

I’m here for the woman who is exhausted but can’t sleep. Who is gaining weight in places she never did before. Who’s foggy, irritable, and wondering what happened to her patience (and her waist). Who’s been told her labs are normal, but knows in her heart it’s wrong. Or who’s been told her labs are changing, and no one can figure out why. Who’s been told “this is just stress” or “this is just aging.”

Who is starting to wonder if this is just how she’s going to feel from now on.

It doesn’t have to be.

Perimenopause changes the rules. The strategies that worked at 35 often stop working at 45. Not because something is wrong with you, but because your body is working with a completely different hormonal blueprint. When you understand that, everything shifts.

My clients go from exhausted and confused to clear, steady, and back in control of their health. They stop fighting their bodies and start understanding them. Food becomes supportive instead of stressful. Energy becomes reliable. They feel like themselves again.

That’s the work I do.
