Between the rain, cooler temps, and intermittent sun our grass is the softest it’s been all year.

Maverick and I tend to go barefoot, him because he hates shoes and me to ground, so looking towards the cooler months when this isn’t really an option (without frostbite ❄️) gives me a bit of anxiety.

I’ve never felt more connected to Mother Nature than this year.

The simple act of looking at the trees, the connection to the birds, finding creatures that once scared me happily crawling onto my fingers, mushroom magic, and whatever else creeps into my lucky eyes and heart, I’ve now gotten to the point that I need it.

Expanding my SAD toolkit to find a way to connect to Pachamama just as easily as stepping out my door in the cold weather.

I don’t *enjoy* (read: hate) being cold whatsoever, but maybe this winter will bring a new magic I hadn’t noticed before. 🪄
