🌟 Rookie STAR Player — Sadie Rock

A.B. has been working hard and making some awesome progress! She has been practicing and learning how to drink from a straw—something she has been working toward for quite some time. She is also becoming more involved in helping staff as she gets dressed, enjoying listening to her books being read, sleeping well through the night, and greeting staff with those bright morning smiles. We are so proud of her determination and all the little steps that add up to BIG progress!

Brian Larison has worked hard to build meaningful connections with the individuals he supports. His patience and understanding have made an impact, and the individuals themselves have noticed! They have described Brian as “nice” and “cool” and have even requested that he work in their home. Brian has also continued strengthening his documentation and providing the details needed to help support individual behavioral goals.

Sadie Rock has made a fantastic impression since joining Team SMCS! She comes to work ready to go with a positive attitude, works alongside individuals on their goals, and is always willing to help. She has also shown great flexibility when staffing needs change and she is asked to work in different homes. Wherever she is needed, Sadie jumps in and helps make it work!

What we love about these recognitions is that being a STAR can look different for everyone. It can be learning a new skill, building a trusting relationship, stepping up for your team, working toward greater independence, or simply showing up each day ready to grow.

Ruben Murphy
Ruben has demonstrated incredible personal growth by embracing change with a positive attitude and determination. Throughout the month, he approached challenging conversations with an open mind, worked hard toward earning his driver's permit, accepted new expectations, strengthened his independence, and showed patience and understanding in everyday situations. We are incredibly proud of the progress Ruben continues to make!

Jayden Cima
Jayden continues to exceed expectations since joining the SMCS family. After previously being recognized as Rookie of the Month, he has continued building meaningful relationships with the individuals we support, encouraging them to achieve their goals, remaining calm during challenging situations, and leading by example. Multiple leaders independently recognized Jayden this month, demonstrating the lasting impact he is already making on our team.

Nathaniel Deardorff
Nathaniel has made an outstanding first impression by consistently looking for opportunities to make a difference. Whether engaging with the individuals we support, assisting fellow team members, or taking initiative without being asked, he embodies what it means to be a servant leader. His positive attitude, teamwork, and dedication have already earned the respect of both leadership and his coworkers.
