SOAR serves the disabled in a habilitation/vocational setting along with home maker personal care

Southern Ohio Adventures Recreation, LLC (S.O.A.R) was started for the purpose
to serve adult individuals with disabilities in Southeast Ohio. S.O.A.R.'s staff is dedicated to treating our clients with the utmost respect and
proving to them they are a valued member of our society. We will strive to make a difference in their lives, as they do ours. Our staff has been hand selected for their strength in the art of working with the
disabled.

Such a fun day at the Lake!! Played many games of corn hole, did some hiking, and listened to music 🎶 everyone had a great time but I think most of us are wore out 🤣

They all had fun yesterday working on their air clay project a long with the visitor Jordynn who came in and showed them how to make the moon putty. They put the moon putty in a balloon 🎈 to use as a stress ball. ❤️

Today was hot air 🎈 🔥, they had to build a hot air balloon and see if their egg survived. Unfortunately we did have 3 that did not survive. But most did and that was successful, they really enjoy testing their projects out. 🤣

Today was drive in movie day!! 🚗📽️🍿 Everyone spent the last two days building their own car and today they had a movie day while learning some money 💰 skills with buying popcorn and candy from the concession stand with their fake money 🤣 I believe everyone had a great day :)

I have finished my last week of work with SOAR. As much as I'm excited to begin this next chapter, I am sad to leave this group. I have loved every part of my time with this company. (Well, minus a few hard or gross moments. But they are still good stories to tell. 😂)

I want to thank everyone who helped make the past almost 7 years memorable and fun. I will miss working with so many of you! Too many to tag. But I want to especially thank everyone who help make my last day a fun party!! The food was awesome (thank you Mitzi Lou's) but the friends were the best part!!

Special shout outs to:
Cheryl Parkison Schrader for hiring me and supporting me through the years. Tami Bay for loving and supporting me through it all. Bev (apparently we aren't officially Facebook friends, I'll fix that!) for the fun of being a middle man, for technology I know nothing about. Angie Perry, Katey Martin , Dale and Zach Tyler for being the best dayhab team. Angie for being my partner in crime for the past 6 years. Brent Bay for the support and laughs. Desiree Swisher is mad at me but I still love her. Wendy Hedges for the extra help and being my main manager all these years. And so many others I wish I had time to talk about. Along with all the individuals and their guardians who welcomed me into their lives and homes with trust and love.

I won't be far, and I will still be seeing everyone!

We lost a member of our family yesterday. Randy Kirkendall had been with us for 11 years and was a very dedicated and loved member of our SOAR family. Please keep our individuals and his family in your thoughts and prayers. .
