NESPA chapters make waves for water safety across the Northeast 🌊

Long Island Pool and Spa Association (LIPSA) continues to raise tens of thousands of dollars each year through the Artie Edwards Invitational Golf Outing. Funds from this event directly support local drowning prevention and water safety initiatives, including Kids Swim Long Island, Step Into Swim, Every Child a Swimmer, and Special Olympics New York.

NESPA is so proud of its members’ strong commitment to making water safety education more accessible and helping create safer swimmers for years to come!

NESPA is proud to support the New Jersey Swim Safety Alliance (NJSSA) and its mission to unify the aquatics community, expand access to swim education, and prevent drowning through collaboration, advocacy, and action.

This Water Safety Month, NJSSA is calling on municipalities across New Jersey to join state and national leaders in officially recognizing Water Safety Month locally.

These proclamations help raise awareness, mobilize community action, and emphasize the importance of drowning prevention as families head into the summer season.

During The 2026 Pool & Spa Show, NESPA Foundation President Jeremy Hasbrouck joined Step Into Swim VP of Partnerships and 3x Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines to highlight the incredible impact this partnership is making for children and families in need of swim lessons and water safety education.

Every dollar raised helps save to lives! Through the generosity of the pool and spa industry, funds raised from the NESPA Foundation’s first-ever Silent Auction are helping to empower families with the skills and confidence to stay safer in and around the water.

The NESPA Foundation is proud to partner with Every Child A Swimmer (ECAS), an organization dedicated to ensuring all children have access to swim lessons, especially those from families with limited financial resources. ECAS believes every child deserves education and training in water safety.

Hear from Executive Director Casey McGovern and Program Manager Nicole Nilsson as they share the positive impact of ECAS’s partnership with NESPA.
