🩵Myth vs. Fact 🩵

One of the hardest parts of receiving Bennett’s AMC diagnosis was feeling like we were stepping into the unknown. We had never heard of Arthrogryposis, and suddenly our world was filled with appointments, therapies, surgeries, and questions.

But this myth couldn’t be further from the truth:

We are not alone.

Because of AMC, we’ve connected with incredible families from all over the world who truly understand this journey. They’ve celebrated Bennett’s victories, supported us through challenges, and reminded us that there is a whole community standing behind our little warrior.

AMC may be rare, but the love, support, and strength within this community are anything but.

To every AMC family we’ve met along the way—thank you for helping us feel seen, understood, and never alone. 💙🦋

Day 4 Fact:
A joint contracture is a joint that lacks normal range of motion or in other words the joints are stiff and stuck.

Joint contractures can affect different parts of the body and vary from person to person. Physical therapy, stretching, splinting, and surgeries may help improve function and mobility, but every AMC journey is unique.

Bennett was born with contractures all over his body; his neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, ankles, and feet. 🩵

🩵AMC Awareness Month - Day 3 🩵

🩵June 3rd is World Clubfoot Day 🩵

Clubfoot has been a big part of Bennett’s journey from the very beginning.

Born with clubfoot as part of his AMC diagnosis, Bennett has spent much of his life doing things most children never have to think about—multiple rounds of casting, surgeries, braces, therapy, and countless doctor’s appointments. Every procedure and every cast change was done with one goal in mind: giving him the best possible foundation for mobility and independence.

It hasn’t always been easy. There have been challenges, setbacks, and long days. But through it all, Bennett has faced each obstacle with a strength that amazes us.

When we look at his feet, we don’t see everything that’s “different.” We see every cast that helped shape them, every surgery that gave him new opportunities, and every step he’s fought so hard to take.

Today, on World Clubfoot Day, we’re celebrating how far he’s come and raising awareness for all the children and families walking a similar path.🩵

Our 2026 AMC Awareness shirts are live on the shop.

Today marks the beginning of AMC Awareness Month, so it felt like the right day to launch this year’s design.

Just like last year’s “Unstoppable” shirt, this one is inspired by Harrison. And if you’ve been following along, you know “Every Step Earned” has pretty much been the mantra of the past year.

The design features that phrase, along with Greeney, our resident T-Rex, in his new friendlier style, carrying the flag again. But one of my favorite little details is that Greeney is now using an EaZyHold to help hold onto the flag pole, an assistive tool Harrison uses both at home and at school.

Last year, we were able to donate over $400 toward the inclusive playground at Mt. Vernon Elementary, and we’re running it back again this year.

Just like before, everything is priced as affordably as we can make it, and the proceeds from this AMC Awareness line will be donated back to the school.

This isn’t just about shirts. It’s about helping build the kind of playground, school, and community where Harrison and so many others can be included from the start.

🩵 AMC Awareness Month- Day 2 🩵

🩵Myth vs. Fact 🩵

If you know Bennett, you know that AMC is probably one of the least interesting things about him.

What defines Bennett isn’t his diagnosis. It’s his determination. It’s the way he tackles every challenge head-on. It’s the way he walks into a room and instantly makes people smile. It’s his huge personality, his endless curiosity, and the confidence he carries with him every single day.

He has worked harder than most people will ever realize, yet he never lets that stop him from being exactly who he is—a fun-loving, smart, silly, adventurous little boy who lives life to the fullest.

AMC may affect his joints, but it doesn’t limit his spirit. It doesn’t define his dreams. It doesn’t determine what he can accomplish.

Bennett isn’t our “AMC child.” He’s our Bennett—an amazing little boy who just happens to have AMC.

And every day, he reminds us that ability is so much bigger than a diagnosis.

AMC is only one chapter of his story.🩵

💙 AMC Awareness Month – Day 1 💙

Today marks the beginning of Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) Awareness Month, a month dedicated to raising awareness, sharing stories, and celebrating the incredible strength of those living with AMC.

AMC is a condition that affects the joints and muscles, but it does not define the amazing individuals who live with it every day. Behind every diagnosis is a story of resilience, determination, courage, and endless love.

For our family, AMC has brought challenges we never expected, but it has also shown us just how strong our little boy truly is. Every milestone, no matter how big or small, is worth celebrating. Every therapy session, doctor’s appointment, surgery, and achievement tells a story of perseverance.

This month, we’ll be sharing more about AMC, our journey, and helping spread awareness for this rare condition. Thank you for following along, supporting our family, and helping us shine a light on AMC.

Our sweet boy had another hospital visit last week. Last week he had to have a sedated MRI to see if there was anything specific causing his “seizures.” Thankfully, so far the MRI didn’t show anything noticeable or concerning. 🤍

Right now, we’re kind of at a standstill while we wait for the next appointment with the neurologist and hopefully get some more answers. It’s been a lot of unknowns lately, but we’re taking it one day at a time and staying hopeful.

Thank you to everyone who has checked on him, prayed for him, and loved on our family through all of this. We appreciate it more than you know. We’ll update everyone again after we see the neurologist. 🤍

Bennett has had the absolute best first year of Pre-K! 💜
Watching him grow, learn, gain confidence, and make so many sweet memories this year has been such a blessing. From the very first day to now, he has truly flourished, and we know that wouldn’t have been possible without the most amazing teachers loving and encouraging him every step of the way.

It takes special people to make little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, and his teachers have done exactly that. Thank you for your patience, kindness, guidance, and for loving our boy like your own while he was in your care.🫶🏼🫶🏼

We are beyond grateful for such a wonderful first school year and the sweetest teachers who made it so special and unforgettable for Bennett! ✨📚🍎
