Our monthly Jade outing took us right down the street to Tacos & B**r Hammond. 🌮🤍

One of our favorite things about being part of Hammond Downtown Development District is getting to support the other locally owned businesses around us. Small businesses supporting small businesses will always be a big deal to us. 🤍

Good food, a few drinks, lots of laughs, and some much-needed time together outside the salon. Basically our kind of team meeting. 😂

Today is World Mental Health Day. 🤍

Self-care looks different for everyone. Sometimes it’s setting boundaries, getting some rest, taking a day for yourself… and sometimes it’s sitting in your stylist’s chair for a couple of hours, talking about absolutely everything, and leaving feeling a little more like yourself again. 😂🤍

Meet Kelsey 🤍

If you’ve been around Jade for a while, you probably already know Kelsey behind the chair, but now she’s also the one responsible for keeping this whole circus running. 😂

Kelsey Baham is the owner of Jade Salon and has been in the beauty industry for 13 years. Her favorites are color + extensions, especially creating customized looks that blend beautifully and feel like they were made for the person wearing them. ✨

A few things about Kelsey:

✨ Color + extensions are her happy place
🧴 Couldn’t live without basically anything Kérastase
🍑 Runs on Sonic peach sweet tea
🌙 Definitely a night owl
🍭 Has a MAJOR sweet tooth
🏔️ Mountains. Take her there and leave her, please. 😂
🤘🏽 Anything rock belongs on the playlist
🏎️ Loves racing cars AND horses, and yes, she means racing them herself
🚘 Dream unnecessary luxury? A really nice car. Always. 😂

When she’s not behind the chair, she’s usually with her family, working on Jade, helping with Baham Auto, or finding another project because apparently sitting still isn’t an option.

Her favorite part of this industry is the relationships she’s built over the years and getting to make people feel confident and beautiful. Now, as Jade’s owner, she gets to create the kind of salon she’s always wanted to be part of: beautiful and professional, but still fun, comfortable, supportive, and a little chaotic in the best way. 🤍

If you ask Shazie about hair products, just know you may be opening a very enthusiastic can of worms. 😂

Shazie Asprion has been in the beauty industry for almost 20 years! She loves customizing hair to fit each client and helping them figure out how to have their best hair days at home, too. Right now, cutting is her favorite service, but she’ll proudly tell you her true specialty is being a product ju**ie. ✨

Meet Jessica 🤍

If you’ve ever called Jade, needed an appointment moved, had a scheduling crisis, or simply had no clue who you needed to book with, there’s a very good chance Jessica has saved the day. 😂

Jessica is the face behind our front desk! She was licensed in cosmetology in 1999, eventually stepped away from doing hair, and found her way back into the salon world in 2020. These days, her specialty is basically keeping all of us and our schedules under control. A full-time job in itself. 😂

A few things about Jessica:

⚡ Runs on Alani + iced mochas from PJ’s
🌙 Definitely a night owl
🧂 Salty over sweet
🏖️ Beach or mountains? She refuses to choose 😂

Her favorite part of the job is simple: making our clients happy. She’s the one answering the phone, helping with appointments, and somehow knowing everyone’s schedules better than they know their own. 😂

The Jade girls had the best time at the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation - Gala last night! We’re so grateful to be part of a community that comes together to support the incredible work they do for local families when they need it most.

A beautiful night, an amazing cause, and the best people to spend it with. 🤍

And yes, we do occasionally clean up and leave the salon together. 😂✨
