Hydration plays a bigger role in bladder symptoms than most people realize, but it’s not just about drinking more water.💧

The timing, consistency, and what you’re drinking all matter when it comes to urgency, frequency, and bladder irritation.

This post breaks down simple ways to support your bladder with hydration habits that actually make sense for your body and your day.

✔️ If you’re constantly running to the bathroom (or avoiding water because of it), these shifts can be a helpful place to start.

✔️ If this is something you struggle with, save this post for later and try one small change this week.

✔️ If urgency or frequency is impacting your daily life, pelvic floor therapy can help you figure out what’s actually driving your symptoms and build a plan that works for you.

Some of the best moments in pelvic floor therapy aren’t huge milestones.

They’re the everyday things people thought they’d never do comfortably again.🙌

You deserve support that looks at the whole picture, not just your symptoms.

Healing is often about helping people get back to living their life with more confidence, ease, and trust in their body again.🙂‍↕️

Reducing the chance of tearing during birth is about more than one exercise or one technique.🙂‍↕️

Your pelvic floor is part of a whole system involving pressure management, breathing, mobility, nervous system regulation, positioning, and tissue adaptability.

Most importantly tearing is NOT a reflection of failure.

There are many factors that influence birth outcomes, many of which are outside of your control.

Preparation should feel supportive, not fear-based. 🙌

Symphysis p***s dysfunction (PSD) is a common source of pelvic pain during pregnancy.

The p***c symphysis is the joint at the front of your pelvis. During pregnancy, hormonal changes and increased load through the pelvis can make this joint more sensitive and less stable.

This can show up as:
✔️sharp, stabbing pain at the p***c bone
✔️a dull, achy feeling in the center of the pelvis
✔️increased pain with single-leg movements (getting dressed, stairs, getting in/out of the car, rolling in bed)

Why single-leg movements?🤔
Because they require your pelvis to transfer load from one side to the other. If the system isn’t well-supported or coordinated, that joint can become irritated.

Improving how your body distributes load, moves, and stabilizes the pelvis can make a significant difference in your symptoms and daily function. 🙂‍↕️

Preparing your body for birth isn’t just about strengthening your pelvic floor.🙂‍↔️

It’s about learning how your body works as a whole. How to relax, coordinate, and respond when it matters most.

✔️ Your pelvic floor needs to be able to lengthen and release, not just contract.
✔️ Your body needs mobility, support, and the ability to adapt during labor.

There’s no single exercise or perfect routine that guarantees a certain outcome, but there are ways to support your body so you feel more prepared going into birth.🙌

Did you know your pelvic floor:

• helps stabilize your core
• supports your pelvic organs
• plays a role in bladder and bowel control
• contributes to sexual function
• assists with blood and lymph circulation
• supports your body through pregnancy and childbirth

It’s part of a larger system working with your core, breath, and movement to support how your body functions every day. 🙂‍↕️

Your pelvic floor is doing a lot behind the scenes and it deserves more attention than we give it! 👏

Being told you’re “all clear” at 6 weeks postpartum can feel like a green light to jump back into normal life, but for many women, it doesn’t feel that way.👩🏻‍🍼

That visit is designed to make sure your body is healing from a medical standpoint. Not necessarily how it’s functioning day-to-day.

If you’re dealing with:
• leaking
• pressure or heaviness
• pain
• core weakness
• or just feeling disconnected from your body

You’re not alone and you’re not expected to just “figure it out.”

Pelvic floor therapy bridges that gap.

It’s about helping you truly heal, rebuild strength, and feel confident in your body again. Whether that means chasing your kids, getting back to workouts, or simply moving without discomfort.🙂‍↕️

This mom came to me 4 months postpartum wanting more than quick fixes.
She wanted to:

✔ Stop leaking
✔ Feel strong and pain free while living her life
✔ Return to exercise safely
✔ Prepare her body for her next pregnancy

We didn’t just “do pelvic floor exercises.”

We restored how her feet, hips, core, and pelvic floor worked together so she could handle real-life demands.

When those pieces came together, her symptoms started disappearing.

This is the difference of individualized, whole-body pelvic health care.

A clogged duct and mastitis can feel similar at first, but knowing the difference matters.

A clogged duct is usually localized and improves with feeding or pumping. Mastitis often comes with redness, warmth, fever, and flu-like symptoms and may need medical treatment.
