🌺National Skilled Nursing Care Week - "Moments in Bloom"🌺

Day 5 (Friday) - Happy Camper Day (Wear Plaid).

Residents started their day off with roasting some delicious s'mores!🍫

We had a Grill Out for lunch, thank you Darren, for be the grill master and cooking up some yummy burgers and hot dogs!🍔 🌭

🌺National Skilled Nursing Care Week- "Moments in Bloom"🌺

Day 4-Desert Oasis Safari Day (Wear Animal Print/Safari Gear)

We started the day off with a yummy pick me up coffee from Nice Beans Coffee Truck! Thank you for coming! ☕

Residents and staff were able to do a Safari Tour throughout the day and discover some Safari animals around the facility. A few of these animals were hand painted by our very own talented staff member Alexa Castillo! 🐅🐒

Rocking our animal print/safari gear, we finally got a group picture of all the staff members who dressed up for the day!

At lunch time, Mama Dee's Mexican Food Truck was here! Food was amazing and definitely was stuffed afterwards! Thank you for coming! 🌮

Residents got to experience giant bubbles outside in the South courtyard in the afternoon and enjoyed the wonderful sunshine. 🌞

We also want to thank the St. Croix Hospice gals for coming and doing a dirty soda bar for staff!

Day 3- Flower Power Day (Wear hippie/flowers)

Monica, Care Initiatives Hospice, brought coffee and donuts for staff to enjoy. Thank you!! 🍩

Staff dressed in their best hippie/flower attire! ✌️☮️

Thank you to First Bank Hampton for the delivery of delicious cookies! 🍪😋

Activities ended the day with tie dying t-shirts with residents, they had so much fun they forgot to take photos. We will post the end results with residents in their shirts!

🌺National Skilled Nursing Care Week - "Moments in Bloom"🌺

Day 2- Tulip Festival (Wear Bright/Neon Colors)

Residents and tenants started the day off with planting some flower seeds with our Assisted Living RN, Kayna. We are all so excited to watch our flowers grow. 💐

Katie, Activities Director, McKayla, Assisted Living Manager, and Shannon, Dietary Manager went shopping and put together some delicious charcuterie boards for staff to enjoy! 🍓🍍

Last but not least, Mrs. Stafford's 4th Grade class came to help residents and tenants plant flowers out in our South courtyard. Thank you to Mrs. Stafford's students for helping us get our courtyard ready for summer! 🌼🌹🏫

🌺 National Skilled Nursing Care Week - "Moments in Bloom" 🌺

Day 1- Tropical Rainforest Day

Started the day off with a presentation by Aubrey Brandt, Franklin County Naturalist, about birds. 🦅

Residents, tenants, and staff enjoyed a tropical drink bar outdoors while listening to music. 🍹

Then we finished the day with a fun game of BINGO! 😊

Music with Talia brought some cool little helpers with her today! 🎶 Mrs. Michelson 2nd grade class came to help Talia out with music therapy this afternoon. 🏫 Even staff member Connie got see her great grandson! ❤️ Thank you for coming and helping with music therapy!

A baby chick has hatched 3 days early at Leahy Grove Assisted Living!! 🐣🐤 Tenant's are anxiously waiting for more to hatch.
