Makoa began having seizures at 11 months old. He was finally diagnosed with epilepsy right before his third birthday. He has multiple seizures every day and is in the process of figuring out his next steps because his seizure medications are not working. With multiple hospital visits and stays, he is the best patient ever. He always gets compliments on how well he tolerates everything. This isn’t the path I wanted for my baby, but we are here living through it, and we are going to do whatever we can to hope and pray that we find the answers so that one day be able to say that he is seizure-free. We are trusting in his doctors to do the route they think is best, whether it be surgery or an implant. He is my 1 in 26!
