✨ Recap of our Roots & Rhythm: The Soul of Afro-Cuban Dance workshop with Spirits N Motion 3.0 ✨

The room was filled with energy, intention, and a deep respect for the roots behind the movement. 🥁🔥

Through Orisha-inspired movement, musicality, body isolation, and storytelling, Spirits N Motion 3.0 guided us beyond choreography and into the cultural foundations that continue to shape Afro-Cuban dance traditions today.

More than a workshop, this was an opportunity to connect with rhythm, history, and community. Exploring how movement can carry identity, expression, and legacy.

We’re grateful to for sharing their knowledge, passion, and artistry, and to everyone who showed up ready to learn, move, and grow together. ❤️

Recap of our Salsa and Latin Hustle workshop with Edwin Tolentino ✨

The room was full of laughs, rhythm, and everyone’s own flavor 💃🏽🕺🏽

Edwin broke down the basics of salsa and Latin hustle while reminding us that the basics are where we get to express ourselves most. And at HDC, individuality is never in short supply, so watching everyone shine in their own way was everything 🌟

We also got to learn more about the African American, Latino, and q***r roots of these styles, including how the Shine step traces back to African American shoe shine boys 👞🖤

So much love to the new faces, the familiar faces, and the ones we hadn’t seen in a while. Everyone who stepped through the doors is part of HDC now 🫶🏽🔥
