Okay, we owe you the answer to last week’s clue. 😂

You guessed blanket. Sweater. Winter hat....

Not one person guessed socks!!

So here they are: the limited edition “Y’all in?” Donate Life Texas socks, and our campaign, A Little Sole. A Lot of Heart. 💙💚

We’re aiming to get 1,000 Texans wearing these socks. Why? Because when someone spots them and asks, “What does Y’all in? mean?”—that’s a chance to talk about organ, eye and tissue donation, and share what the decision means to you.

One conversation can travel from one person to their family, then to a friend, then to someone else. That’s the ripple we hope to create.

You can only get them through December 15, with proceeds supporting Donate Life Texas. After that, this limited edition design will be gone!

Let’s get these on 1,000 Texans. Y’all in?

This weekend, our team had the opportunity to connect with surgical technology professionals to share more about the gift of tissue donation and educate them on the career path available in tissue recovery and transplantation.

A huge thank you to Texas State Technical College for having us and for the opportunity to connect and share more about the gift of donation. 💚🩵

September is National DMV Appreciation Month! 💙💚🚗

National DMV Appreciation Month recognizes the vital role of DMVs and Driver License Partners (DLPs) in saving and healing lives by asking customers the donor registration question every day.
Our DMV partners are the people on the front lines of service who have helped more than 170 million people across the country register their decision to be a deceased organ, eye and tissue donor.

Join us in thanking our DMV partners for their incredible work saving lives through donation and transplantation!

We are extremely excited and proud to share that the Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services has approved the full merger of Southwest Transplant Alliance and Texas Organ Sharing Alliance into one organ procurement organization – the Gift of Life Alliance.

By coming together, we have an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen organ donation for over 19 million Texans and across so many Texas communities we have the privilege serving: from Dallas to San Antonio, from Austin to El Paso, from the Coastal Bend and the Rio Grande Valley to Waco, from Tyler to Midland-Odessa, and beyond. Together, we will work with and within each community to transform more lives through the gift of donation.

Reaching this moment has stretched us as organizations, required immense patience and perseverance, and demanded an incredible amount of time and energy from our teams and our governing boards, making this approval especially meaningful.

We're incredibly grateful to our employees, boards, hospital partners, donor families, transplant partners, communities, and everyone who has supported us throughout this journey.
Onward to what lies ahead!

Summer reading recommendation: Yours Truly by Abby Jimenez ☀️📖🌸

While this heartfelt romance is full of humor and heart, it also shines a light on the reality of kidney transplantation. Stories like these remind us that behind every transplant is a patient waiting, loved one’s hoping, and the incredible gift of donation that can change a life. 💚

Have you added Yours Truly to your summer reading list yet?
