Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Harlingen We provide short and long-term skilled nursing care that helps older adults achieve true wellness. We are a non-profit, and that’s an important difference.

Our focus is on strengthening the families and communities we care for. Post-operative care, Wound Care, IV Therapy, and an in-house rehabilitation team are some services that make our facility different. Unlike others who contract their therapists, we have an in-house therapy team. This means our goal is to have patients and residents see the same occupational, speech, or physical therapists daily, which builds a strong line of trust and rapport.

This week, we celebrated National Mascot Day with a parade and costume contest! 🦖🎈

Residents had a wonderful time cheering on participants—while contestants had a blast showing their team spirit. Congratulations to our mascot contest winner, Veronica, our Care Management Nurse, and her mascot, "Bingo the Doggie"!

Today, we commemorate a significant chapter in our nation's history, which offers us a moment for both reflection and celebration. On June 19, 1865, more than 2,000 Union soldiers arrived at Galveston Bay, Texas. This day, now celebrated as “Juneteenth,” symbolizes freedom in Texas and underscores the ongoing struggle for equality and justice.
