PAA represents you and your patients in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Academy of Audiology serves as the voice for audiologists in Harrisburg, working to protect and advance the profession through grassroots engagement and statewide leadership. While federal laws can preempt the state in certain circumstances, state laws have by far the greatest day-to-day impact on audiologists.

PAA works on licensure requirements, scope of practice, telehealth, insurance mandates, and consumer protections that are determined by state statutes and regulations.

PAA continually advocates on your behalf to protect you and your patients.

With the 2026 PAA Lobby Day right around the corner, we look forward to you joining us on June 23, in membership, and at our quarterly legislative town halls to continue to progress audiology in the state of Pennsylvania.

Some stories stay with you forever ❤️

One of our audiology colleagues, along with her family, has created the Ryan J. Horan Memorial Fund in honor of Ryan’s life, legacy, and love of education. Through basketball events and community support, the fund will help ease the financial burden of education for families at the school their family considers home.

What started as an act of kindness from their school and church community during an incredibly difficult time has now become a way to give that same support back to others. It’s a beautiful reminder of what community can do for a family when they need it most.

We are honored to share and support this meaningful effort and encourage our community to follow along, learn more, and support the mission of helping families feel a little less alone.

Ryan’s impact continues to live on through his boys, through this community, and through every family this fund will help.
