We had a great time at the DIY Fair at SUNY Purchase on August 19! Our resident offered relaxing hand massages while guests got creative at our fun sand art station. ✨

Alois has been busy exploring all that Broadview has to offer! 💜 From making a splash in the pool and joining in on Spirit Week to attending staff orientation, singing along and getting creative in the woodshop, there’s no shortage of fun adventures along the way. Where is Alois?💜

Have you spotted our special purple visitor around Broadview and High Point? Meet Alois the Alzheimer’s Bear! 🐻💜

Alois is here through Sunday to help raise awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer, she’s bringing a little fun, humor and visibility to an important cause that touches so many families.

Throughout the week, Alois might be exercising, joining a class, enjoying Prelude’s Pub, playing a game, visiting the salon—or getting into a little mischief! 👀

Have an activity, club, class, dinner or event you’d like Alois to join? Let us know! We’ll do our best to bring her along for some fun and photos.

Residents enjoyed a “Who Can Build It Better” challenge, using skewer sticks, marshmallows, and toothpicks. As a STEM project (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), residents used their problem solving skills to test ideas and create (edible) structures!😊

Drumming therapy eases stress, anxiety, and helps release emotions through physical rhythm and group connection. High Point Center of Care residents tapped, banged and pounded their hearts out during a recent class led by instructor Matthew Broad. 🥁😊

Broadview residents were on hand Thursday to welcome SUNY Purchase College students back to campus during a Block Party at the campus Starbucks.
After presenting at Freshman orientation, the Broadview crew, led by resident Jaime Rosenfeld, chatted with students and shared information about the Broadview mentorship program. College President Michael Steiper even stopped by to say hello.
