Please join us in welcoming Christy Delcamp, PA-C, to the LMU-SMS Tampa Physician Assistant Program as our newest Principal Faculty member!

A graduate of Barry University’s Physician Assistant Program, Delcamp brings more than a decade of experience in emergency medicine, along with valuable expertise in clinical research and pediatric functional medicine. Her diverse clinical background and passion for education will be tremendous assets as we continue preparing future physician assistants for successful careers in healthcare.

We are excited to have her join the LMU-SMS family and look forward to the knowledge, mentorship, and experience she will bring to our students and program.

Congratulations to Dr. Dustin Bates, Program Director of the LMU-SMS Knoxville Physician Assistant Program, on earning his Master of Legal Studies degree from the University of Tennessee Winston College of Law!
A graduate of the LMU–SMS Doctor of Medical Science (DMS) program, Bates continues to demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth. His newest achievement expands his expertise at the intersection of healthcare, education, leadership, and the law—knowledge that will further benefit the students, faculty, and communities he serves.
Whether leading future physician assistants, pursuing advanced education, or recently training for the Run Disney D***y Challenge charity race, Dr. Bates exemplifies the dedication, perseverance, and servant leadership that define the LMU-SMS community.

Hands-on learning is an essential part of PA education.

LMU-SMS Knoxville PA Class of 2027 students recently practiced musculoskeletal injection techniques using specialized shoulder task trainers. These simulation-based experiences help students develop procedural skills, improve accuracy, and build confidence before entering clinical practice.

Summer 2025 is officially underway!

The LMU-SMS Knoxville PA Class of 2027 recently celebrated with a Summer Kickoff Picnic before the Memorial Day holiday. Although rainy weather moved the event indoors, students, faculty, and staff still enjoyed great food, fellowship, and plenty of fun.
