Safety First at CESI! 🚨

Over the past two weeks, all CESI staff participated in an in-house training focused on department safety procedures. Team members had the opportunity to review building-specific safety protocols, locate important safety equipment, and strengthen their emergency response skills through hands-on learning.

The training featured two interactive skills stations: Hands-Only CPR & Stop the Bleed

A huge thank you to Rob for developing and delivering a comprehensive safety presentation, Brenden for leading the Hands-Only CPR station, and Jack for guiding staff through the Stop the Bleed training. 👏

We are proud of our team's commitment to safety, preparedness, and creating a secure environment for everyone at CESI. 💙

📢 What an incredible three days at CESI 📢

Last week, we welcomed Navy Student Independent Duty Corpsmen for hands-on, intensive training focused on essential clinical skills, including chest tubes, wound care, IV/IO access, and much more.

A special thank you to our HHC partners who shared their expertise and helped make this program such a success. We are proud to support the education and readiness of these dedicated professionals and grateful for the opportunity to host programs like this.

At the Bone & Joint Institute Medical Assistant Skills Day at CESI, Medical Assistants, nurses, and support staff practiced essential clinical skills through interactive training stations and a high-fidelity emergency simulation.

The experience strengthened teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and confidence, helping ensure our teams are prepared to provide safe, high-quality care in every situation.

We had an incredible session on June 18, with CESI supporting the East Region Quality & Safety team at the Hartford HealthCare/Eastern Connecticut Nursing School Simulation Center (CESI East) at Windham Hospital.
