Little habits, products, routines, and systems that have genuinely been making me feel better, more grounded, and more intentional heading into summer. Some are wellness-related, some are mindset shifts, and some are just little things making everyday life feel really good lately.

a few things i brought home from the siete wellness summit in austin 🌮

always cool getting in rooms where people are talking about wellness in a way that actually feels realistic and supportive instead of fear-based.

a few nuggets that stuck with me:

• caffeine can be helpful for performance, but not as a replacement for actually eating enough. a lot of women are running on stress + coffee and calling it energy.

• creatine came up a lot and honestly… more women should know about it. not just for muscle, but recovery, strength, cognition, and healthy aging too.

• carbs are still getting villainized way too much. active women especially tend to underfuel and then wonder why energy, recovery, sleep, and hormones feel off.

• gut health doesn’t need to be 47 supplements deep. consistency with basics like fiber, hydration, movement, stress management, and eating enough matters more than people think.

• and one random thing i learned from siete’s head chef, Scarleth, sauté your rice in oil first, THEN add boiling water instead of starting with cold water. apparently it helps the texture/flavor and honestly… game changer.

anyway, still processing a lot from that weekend but grateful to keep learning and bringing better info back to the people i work with! 📸 cover photo

Most people think hair loss starts with iron or thyroid.

And yes those matter.

But one of the first things I look at is your stress response.

Because if your body is stuck in survival mode,
it’s not prioritizing hair growth.

And this can show up in ways people don’t expect:

Feeling exhausted no matter how much you sleep
Waking up anxious or “on edge”
Crashing halfway through the day

That pattern matters.

And it’s just one piece.

There are other markers I look at depending on the person, but it’s never about doing everything at once.

It’s about understanding what YOUR body is telling you.

I help people with hair loss for a living and still found myself questioning if anything I was doing was actually working

because it wasn’t that I didn’t know what to do
I just wasn’t doing it

I was stressed out of my mind
running on caffeine
training hard like nothing was wrong
not eating enough for what my body actually needed
and just not fully showing up for myself

and my hair tanked

I had to have a real conversation with myself
not a “what supplement do I need” conversation
a “what in my life is not working anymore” conversation

so before I added anything in
I started taking things out

pulled back my schedule
cut down the caffeine
adjusted my training
actually supported my body instead of pushing through

then I looked at what was going on underneath it all

and it finally made sense

but here’s the part no one talks about
you can be doing everything right
and still feel like nothing is happening

that was me
