A while back, The Birthing Place (TBP) hoped to begin building a birthing center in 2024, yet the cost to jump from where we were to opening the birth center was too steep of a climb. So instead, we’re excited to open Maryam a clinic, currently under renovation.
Maryam Reproductive Health + Wellness is the key part of our current phase; we’ve developed a collaborative medical practice which furthers our mission to expand into new territory to provide direct care. This major step allows us to go beyond valuable education and resources, into directly providing much needed clinical services with a client-centered model and demonstrate our impact in the community.
With a longer-term mission to increase birth center access for all New Yorkers, we are so excited to open Maryam, which marks a key milestone!
