Happy Mother's Day! I have decided to extend the model rate through the rest of the month, so make sure you purchase before the end of the month! I have openings in the next two weeks. You can also pay the model rate and schedule for next month if you want. Prices will be going back up to normal for June.

Thank you to everyone who booked my model special this month and filled up my calendar!

I'm going to extend the $60 sale for another two weeks because a lot of you that have done one service, still want to try the other!

I will have sales again in the future, so if you miss it, don't worry! It probably won't be quite this cheap, but I will try to do giveaways and other things in the future as well.

Rainbow brows!!!! Would you do it?!

Colors are smeared all over, but you can tell that I had fun! This reminds me of that zebra fruit stripe gum.

Not all colors are dark enough to make hair strokes, so the next test I would want to do for this client would be a tiny rainbow tattoo on the ankle or elsewhere to see how the colors heal on their particular skin tone.

3 - 6 weeks of healing on the tiny test run tattoo would give us the answer so that we would discover what colors to use on the face!

It seems like an involved process because it is! I wouldn't want to just guess at something you would potentially wear on your face for a few years.

What do you think?

My favorite set starts with yellow on the inside.

There is a new site out there called Studio Meds! It is here to help you get a prescription for topical numbing cream if you don't have a P*P or health insurance. Michigan changed the laws this year, and they want you to have your own rx for topical numbing cream for permanent eyebrows and eyeliner. I have told a few of my clients about this, as we are all still new to the change in the law, but it shouldn't actually effect much. We want to make sure that everyone is safe and comfortable when it comes to getting beautiful permanent makeup! This was my own journey with microblading! I loved having my eyebrows done. Although I neglected to protect them from fading and didn't get them touched up, they still lasted several years! They faded gently with time. At the very end, I used retinol wrinkle cream to finish removing the warm tones. I'm thinking about going with a slightly different shape next time and with a microshading technique this instead, for a soft powder brow look.

Q: Will it hurt?

A: It is a bit uncomfortable during the initial application process, but I will make sure that you are as comfortable as possible! I will also communicate with you to let you know exactly when I am about to apply, and check in with you regularly to make sure you are still doing well.

Some clients choose to use 5% Lidocaine topical numbing solution for permanent makeup application, and that's totally fine! Michigan does now require that the client has their own rx on file for this topical solution, as they prefer that the artist no longer apply them in studio.

To give you an idea of the discomfort level, here are some things that are way more painful than permanent makeup:

- Waxing

- Laser

- Burns

- Bee sting

- Scraped knee

If you have lived through these experiences, you can handle a permanent makeup session! We don't even go very deep for permanent makeup as compared to regular body tattoos! Don't let the fear of discomfort hold you back. We will come up with a plan to ensure that you are very comfortable and barely feel a thing!
