Diabetes education is integral to managing diabetes by enabling patients to understand the value of diet, exercise, medication and stress management. The Diabetes on Track Coalition hosted a Diabetes Walk on September 26th at Lake Hastings. Raising awareness and supporting diabetes programs in our community will benefit everyone! We encourage everyone to know their risk for Type 2 diabetes by having a blood glucose level or A1C test.

Thank you to all who participated. We had community members coming and going during the day, but this is a photo of the first group that walked at Lake Hastings!

Join us and on Saturday, September 26 at 9 a.m. and help us raise awareness for diabetes prevention, treatment and education throughout our community. Walk around the Lake Hastings trail as you wish for this good cause. Walking is completely FREE but donations will be accepted and appreciated.

Pre-registration is not required, just check in at the event! See you there!
