💥Superhero vibes at the 2026 MAFP Annual Scientific Assembly! ✨Our crew—PGY2 Residents, Dr. Windham and Dr. Amanuddin, plus APD Dr. Hudson—collided with Spider-Man and Batman. 🦹‍♀️🦸‍♂️ Our booth swung into FAN FAVORITE mode as we proved not all heroes wear capes; some just wear white coats and big ideas! 🥼💡Every conversation was a super-powered exchange and a web of great connections! 🤩

Dr. Hunter Jacobson with the Forrest General Family Medicine Residency Program broke down different vaccines, their importance, and shared guidance for parents if they feel hesitant to vaccinate their child.

Congratulations to all of our graduates!! 🎉🩺 Last Thursday our program celebrated all the hard work, growth, dedication, and accomplishments achieved throughout their 3 years of residency. This year, six resident physicians completed their three-year residency with Forrest General Hospital's Family Medicine Residency Program and have accepted full-time medical positions across the region and beyond. At the same time, eight new residents are just getting started on that same journey here at Forrest General.

It's the kind of full circle moment that happens every year in our Family Medicine Residency Program, a moment program director Dr. Rambod Rouhbakhsh captured perfectly during this year's graduation.

Super excited to have Dr. Franklin back with us! 🎉

In 1984, a baby was born at Forrest General Hospital. Decades later, he walked back through those same doors, this time in a white coat.

Dr. James Franklin's path to medicine wasn't easy or direct. It included EMT school, years as a paramedic, sleeping in his truck between shifts and classes, and a journey that took him over 2,200 miles from home. But every step led back to one place, Forrest General Hospital.

📚✨ Our Family Medicine Residency Program had an incredible simulation lab training focused on Hepatitis A in the outpatient office setting! 🩺💉

Our team engaged in hands-on learning experiences that helped us practice timely diagnosis, management strategies, and patient counseling. 🚀💬 It’s amazing to see how simulations enhance our skills and prepare us for real-life challenges in primary care.

A huge shoutout to our faculty, Dr. Andrews, for guiding us through this crucial aspect of patient care. Together, we’re building a healthier future! 💪❤️

What a great weekend at Spring Fling networking with other family physicians in our state, learning from guest speakers, and practicing procedures!

We are so excited for our residents Dr. Jacobson (PGY-2) and Dr. Windham (PGY-1) who have been elected as MAFP Board Members for the upcoming year.

We are also very proud of Dr. Thompson (PGY-2, 3rd place overall finalist) and Dr. Pride (PGY-2) who presented their case presentations and posters!
