The STEP UP (Starting Today Empowering Peers through Uniting and Participating) Council is composed of youth and young adults with and without disabilities. Council members serve as leaders within their schools, colleges/universities and communities. The Council focuses on issues facing all young people including leadership, self-advocacy, transition, health care, education, employment, bullying and recreation.

Some more amazing photos from STEP OUT’s Little Creek Landing trip this past Thursday! Such a great place, very accommodating, and friendly staff made our experience memorable! Some even stated “one of the best days of their lives” and “better than the Zoo”. A huge thanks to both Little Creek Landing staff and Amy James for setting this up for everyone.

Today, we celebrate all moms, stepmoms, adoptive moms, foster moms, grandmothers, caregivers, mentors, and mother figures who love, support, and care for others.

We also want to wish a special Heavenly Mother’s Day to the mothers who are no longer with us but remain forever in our hearts. ❤️

Next Tuesday, May 5th, the Force rises at Community Club for our Star Wars Day event: “The Fifth Awakens.” 🌌

Prepare for a full day of themed activities, challenges, and galactic fun. Volunteers and members are encouraged to arrive in Star Wars-inspired gear to show their allegiance.

Training sabers (plastic lightsabers) are welcome… but remember, young Padawans and seasoned Jedi alike must keep the peace—no dueling in the halls. ⚔️
