Guys, I just love this! 😂 It's an interesting thing how we're raised, and as the old saying goes, "If you don't handle your demons, your demons will raise your children."

Now, there's truth behind the humor. The way we're raised can have a lasting impact on how we raise our own children. As parents, we must do better. But I figured a little humor wouldn't hurt anybody on a Wednesday! 😂

Seriously, though, parents, take the time to sit down, listen, have patience, and show understanding toward your children. The way you raise them can follow a generational lineage, sometimes for generations to come.

Ask yourself this question: Do I want better for my children, or do I want them to grow up the same way I did?

It's comical in a sense, but it's also reality. We learn what we see, and sometimes those lessons follow us well into adulthood. Some people struggle to break free from those patterns because they've known nothing else.

The cycle has to start somewhere, and sometimes it starts with you. ❤️

At Odds & Ends Recovery, we believe no one should have to face life’s struggles alone. Our purpose is to offer encouragement, fellowship, faith, and a welcoming place where people can come together without judgment and know that someone cares.

We operate entirely through donations and the generosity of others. Even something as simple as providing a meal, snack, or drink during our meetings can become a significant expense over time. Hardee’s has always been kind enough to welcome us, and we are truly grateful for that hospitality. However, the cost of providing food and drinks naturally falls on those who host and support the meetings.

If you feel led to give, we would be sincerely grateful for any contribution, no matter how small. Every dollar helps ease that financial burden and allows us to continue focusing on what matters most: being there for people who need encouragement, understanding, fellowship, and hope.

Boy, do I remember those years. I do not miss them one bit. Alcohol may be one of the greatest scams ever sold—and one of the most dangerous drugs or substances out there—yet somehow, it’s completely legal.
I lived it. I know what it can take from you, what it can destroy, and how easily it can be disguised as “fun.” Recovery opened my eyes. I wouldn’t trade my sobriety for anything.🙏🏼💚💜

We never know what someone’s next chapter could be. Sometimes saving a life today gives someone the chance to change their life tomorrow.
Recovery is possible. People are worth saving. Every single life matters. 🙏
