From Health Matters Desk: Do you dare to take this personal challenge?

Do you have chronic pain? Maybe a shoulder that won't heal or constant neck pain? How about arthritis pain that just goes on and on...?

Or Fibromyalgia? The chronic pain from Fibromyalgia is so debilitating, and seems so random.

What if you could shut off the pain forever, with absolutely no cost involved? All these health issues could have one thing in common!!
Solanine poisoning!! What did you say??? What is Solanine poisoning?

This poison is found in many of the meals Americans eat today, in fact it is hard to find a single meal served anywhere in America that doesn’t have one or more of these poisonous vegetables in it.

We are talking mostly about the nightshade family of vegetables that contain solanine. Some non-night-shade plants also contain solanine, like cape gooseberries. Interesting to note that almost none of the nightshades vegetables were consumed by humans before the 1800's. Many of them had been classified in books, like Herbal 1597, as 'poisonous as the deadly nightshade belladonna’. The tomato was sometimes even called the ‘poison fruit’.

By the late 1800’s however, tomatoes had become popular in Europe, due mostly to the recent invention of pizza. Here in America, there’s some evidence that in the southern states people were beginning to use tomatoes.

But not in New York City. I remember reading about the tomato’s introduction to New York City. A man, (it might have been Mr. Campbell), was trying to get his canned tomatoes on the store shelves, but no one wanted to die from eating tomatoes. So, he took a full page ad out in the newspapers that told everyone he was going to consume large amounts of tomatoes and everyone could come watch him die of the poisoning. He had a huge crowd of people who brought their picnic lunches with them to watch the entertainment. Of course, he didn’t die, and you know the rest of the story-every supermarket in America has canned tomatoes on their shelves.

Or is it the rest of the story…..

The average American daily dose of solanine is 13 mg. We can only excrete out 5% of that the first day, and 1-2% each day after. The rest is stored in our bodies and accumulates. One of the places it accumulates is the thyroid, disturbing its ability to function. There are other places as well. Lethal doses of solanine is 3-6 mg TGA/kg.

Each of us are individuals and what may be easy to process for some may be near impossible for others. From the first day’s dose it takes 1-2 months to remove from your body. (1) Research shows that 74-90% of people with arthritis or fibromyalgia showed increased pain after consuming foods with solanine. (2)

Solanine is a glycoalkaloid poison, technically called a-solanine. It is produced by the plants to protect themselves from pests, insects and fungus. It is truly a spectacular thing that these plants can produce this themselves. A-solanine is very similar in molecular structure and action to pesticides and fungicides. In our bodies it causes inflammation, which then causes pain.

The challenge is to remove solanine from your diet for two weeks and see how you feel. Maybe all the pain will go away.

Nature’s Best

Bee Pollen

Bees, those little industrious entities, fly from flower to flower, collecting pollen, nectar and honey. All delicious yummy foods that pack an enormous nutritional punch.

12-40% of bee pollen is protein, and unlike most other protein sources, the protein in pollen is complete with the entire range of amino acids. Bee Pollen also contains every vitamin, mineral, and trace element known to be essential for optimal human health. It is considered one of the only complete foods in the world.

There are also so many other nutrients:
Phytosterols, good for improving fertility and reproductive success.

Carotenoids, these beauties are helpful in preventing cataracts and macular degeneration.

Flavonoids, these are responsible for reducing cholesterol and inflammation, they help control diabetic retinopathy and hypertension

Helps cut healing time from surgeries and traumatic injuries dramatically

Also good for pets.

The best long term cure for allergies

The base for this recipe comes from the book Raw Family Signiture Dishes. I changed it extensively to make it a super food for the Explorer Genetic Diet Person. I am a Raw Explorer (You can Change your Genetic Destiny, by Dr. D’Adamo)

Raw Cranberry Scones

2 C Carrot cut into chunks
2 C Apple cut into chunks
2 C Pecans ground
2 C Cranberries
1 ¾ C Currants
¼ C Golgi Berries
1 C H**p Seeds
4 Tbsp Raw Agave
¼ C Lemon Juice fresh
2 Tbsp Macadamia Oil
¼ Tsp Sea Salt

You will need a
Food Processor
Dehydrator
Citrus Juicer
High Speed Blender or Coffee Grinder
¼ C Measuring Tool
Spatula
Knife
Parchment Paper
Cutting board
Large Bowl

Using the Food Processor, put carrots in and process till fine consistency.* Put in the bowl. Do the same for the Apples.
Grind the Pecans finely, add to the mixture in the bowl.
Add all the other ingredients and mix well.

Using the ¼ C measuring tool, scoop out of the bowl and put on Parchment Paper.

Dehydrate at 115 degrees for between 10-15 hours. Then flip them over and dehydrate for another 2-3 hours.

These are very dense and delicious. They will store in the fridge for 2 months.

* If you don’t have a Food Processor, a Ninja Blender works well too.
