Making another batch of lymph support oil 🌿

Lemon balm, tulsi, calendula, chickweed, and plantain…all grown here, harvested by hand, and infused into jojoba and almond oil. A small essential oil blend goes in at the end.

I always reach for herbs like calendula, chickweed, and plantain for gentle skin + lymph support. They’re simple plants (…most of them “weeds” 🤣…) that do a lot without the fuss. Bonus that they grow prolifically! If you’ve ever tried to get rid of chickweed, you know it’s basically impossible. So embrace it!!

Still one of my favorite parts of herbal work is following the whole cycle: growing it, harvesting it, and turning it into something useful.

And just a side note, but did you know the amazing in Hayden has this oil as an option for their massages?! 😍

One of the realities of working with herbs is that sourcing matters!
I’ve been having a hard time finding dried bacopa that I feel good about using…so this year I’m growing my own 🌱
Bacopa is traditionally used to support:
•memory
•focus
•nervous system balance
•stress resilience

Sometimes the best way to source an herb is to grow it yourself!

I’ve simplified how I work with clients!

Instead of scattered one-time visits, I now work in a more continuous way so we can track patterns, make adjustments, and support your body over time. As you start taking herbs and notice changes in your body, we can check in and adjust your protocol as needed.

My focus is on:
hormone balance (including perimenopause + menopause transition)
nervous system regulation + stress resilience
digestion + gut health
sleep + overall wellness

AND SIMPLICITY! No one wants to be dealing with cupboard full of herbs and supplements they “need” in order to heal.

We start with a free 15-minute intro call to connect and see if the 3-month program is a good fit for you, and we go from there!

If you’ve been wanting support that feels more consistent, more personal, and responsive to what your body is doing…this is the shift I’ve made to offer that!

If you’re curious, you can start with the intro call anytime. (Link in bio)

Fresh Plant Tinctures

One of my favorite ways to work with herbs: using them fresh instead of dried. 🌱💕

Tincturing plants right after harvest helps capture their full potency, including those delicate compounds and aromatics that can fade with drying. Some herbs (like lemon balm, tulsi, and catnip) just really shine when used this way.

It takes a little more effort & intention, but the end result is potent, vibrant, and effective.

Have you ever tried a fresh plant tincture?

Herbal learning doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or overly academic.
In my classes, we slow things down and make herbs feel approachable, useful, and fun, so you can actually remember what you learn and feel confident using it in real life.
We explore herbs for everyday wellness, especially things like:
🌿 digestion
🌼 hormone balance
💛 stress + nervous system support
And just as importantly, you get community.
People who are curious, open, and learning right alongside you.
If you’ve been wanting to deepen your herbal knowledge in a supportive, down-to-earth space, I’d love to have you join a class!

Fire Cider!
This is one of my go-to remedies for immune support.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to make your own (and understand what each herb is doing), I’m teaching a Fire Cider + Immune Support workshop in April!
It’s part of my Build Your Home Apothecary series, but you can also join this class on its own if you don’t have time to commit to multiple classes.
We’ll keep it practical and hands-on so you are prepared to make your own batch at home when you run out.

Brewing a cup of medicinal-strength herbal tea is simple!

Use 1 tbsp of herbs per 8 oz of hot (not boiling) water and let it steep for at least 10 minutes — 15 minutes is even better. Slow, gentle brewing lets all the healing compounds fully release for maximum benefit. 🌿

Building an Herbal Drink

One of my favorite ways to take herbs?
Turn them into something you actually want to sip!

Today’s blend:
🥥 Coconut water (minerals + hydration)
🍒 Pomegranate juice (antioxidant rich + tart)
🍋 Fresh lemon juice (bright + digestive support)
🌿 A calming herbal glycerite

Think of it as layering:
1️⃣ A base (still or sparkling water, coconut water, herbal tea)
2️⃣ A splash of juice (pomegranate, tart cherry, cranberry, apple)
3️⃣ Fresh citrus (lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit)
4️⃣ Your herbal support (glycerites, tinctures, herbal simple syrups)

You can build for:
✨ Stress support
✨ Hormone balance
✨ Digestive support
✨ Immune support
✨ Just because!

Herbs don’t have to be complicated.

What would you build?

Tincture tip: make it easy!

Tinctures are powerful, but they can also be a little bit harsh straight from the dropper. My favorite way to take tinctures? Drop your dose into a shot glass, add a little water, and take it like a shot. Quick, easy, and a little bit gentler!

Taking your herbs regularly is what brings the benefits over time. Consistency is key!
