YES!!! Brady secures largest ever verdict against a gun dealer!

A jury awarded the City of Baltimore, represented by Brady and co-counsel, $62 million dollars in after nearby gun dealer Hanover Armory flooded the City with deadly ghost guns. This is the largest ever verdict dealt against a negligent gun dealer.

The plaintiffs – Baltimore’s Mayor and City Council – alleged that firearm retailer Hanover Armory flooded the city with ghost guns that increased violent crime and posed a potent threat to Baltimore residents’ health and safety. Ghost guns are un-serialized, untraceable fi****ms often sold as kits without ID or background checks.

This verdict will be a neon bright sign to gun dealers around the country: if you flood nearby communities with ghost guns or other fi****ms intended for crime and homicide, you will be held accountable. The City of Baltimore is better off today, and America is better off with unscrupulous gun dealers like Hanover Armory held responsible for the damage and death they inflict on our neighborhoods.

To date Gloucester Yoga has collected $21,804 from 54 distinct donors. I received a personal message stating in part "We couldn't have done this without you and your incredible supporters from Gloucester Yoga! We are truly so grateful for your continued commitment to our cause -- it's saving lives.”

Here we are the day before the democratic process unfolds and the nation makes its decision on our leadership. Some of you may be working the polls or have contributed many hours to the election process on behalf of your beliefs. You’ve done or are doing your best. That’s what matters.

For many of us, this fear of uncertainty is causing stress and anxiety. Where does this come from? YOUR MIND. Today and moving forward don’t lend your energy to the “what ifs”. Take some time to sit silently or meditate. When moving deep into meditation it can be as if you are falling off a precipice into a quiet and peaceful abyss – AHHH!

One thing I know for sure, is that each one of you in our on-line community embraces Ahimsa (non-harming). Whatever the election results, let’s continue to individually and together embrace Ahimsa by offering kindness and compassion to all beings and mother earth.

Today is The International Day of Non-Violence which is every year on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

He was the leader of the Indian independence movement and pioneer of the philosophy and strategy of non-violence to effect change. This day is celebrated to “the universal relevance of the principle of non-violence” and the desire “to secure a culture of peace, tolerance, understanding, and non-violence”.

Donations through Gloucester Yoga's website to The Brady Center to Prevent Gun-Violence, or to other entities geared to gun violence prevention, and electing gun sense candidates are a few ways you can help to turn this public health crisis around.

This coming Tuesday (April 9th) I (Nancy) start teaching Strength & Stability Flow at Garden of Zen in Yorktown weekly at 9:15. This is an alignment-focused practice where you can safely explore your edge. Longer holds will provide you time to deepen your pose for improved posture and balance while building skeletal strength. Each week there will be a pose of emphasis. Sun salutations and warrior sequences are part of this class as well. In this breath-led practice you will be encouraged to find your peace in each pose as you connect your mind, body, and spirit.

I encourage you to come on out and make this class part of your routine to strengthen, stay strong, and age gracefully! This class is also available virtually.

Garden of Zen is very welcoming, has a large spacious studio, supportive instructors, and a variety of classes from beginner to advanced and physically charged to chilling out.
