On International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost, support those impacted, and work toward a future where fewer families have to experience the pain of overdose. πŸ’œ

Prevention starts with awareness, compassion, and connection. Together, we can help save lives and remind our community that support is available.

New year, new chance to find your people. Whether it's the robotics club, a sports team, drama, or that random Frisbee league nobody saw coming β€” showing up for something you love is one of the best things you can do for yourself this year. Belonging to a club or team gives you built-in friends, a caring adult who's got your back, and a reason to show up excited on a Monday.

So what are you joining this semester? Tell us in the comments β€” we want to hear about it!

Ever feel like ma*****na use is everywhere these days? Here's the truth: according to national survey data, nearly 9 out of 10 teens did NOT use ma*****na in the past year. That's not a fluke β€” that's the norm.

The healthy choice isn't the exception, it's the rule. Most teens are out here living their lives, chasing goals, and skipping the smoke.

So next time someone says, "everyone's doing it," you'll know better. Tag a friend who needs to hear this β€” let's keep setting the record straight together.

Welcome back, Alameda County families! πŸŽ’ The start of a new school year is a big deal β€” and we're so glad to be walking alongside your community again this year.

Most teens in our neighborhoods are already making smart, healthy choices every single day, and that's something worth celebrating. Project Eden is proud to keep showing up for local students and families, offering support, resources, and a listening ear whenever it's needed.

Have a favorite back-to-school tradition or a tip for easing first-day jitters? Drop it in the comments β€” let's swap ideas and cheer each other on this year!

Ever been in that awkward moment when someone offers you something and you just don't know what to say? You're not alone β€” and here's the good news: most teens are already saying no to w**d and other substances, no big speech required.

Sometimes the easiest way out is a simple line like "nah, I'm good" or "I've got somewhere to be." No drama, no lecture, just a quick exit that keeps things chill.

Here's something worth talking about: national data from the CDC's Youth Risk Behavior Survey shows that 84.2% of high schoolers are choosing NOT to use drugs. That's the real story β€” healthy choices are the norm, not the exception, and that includes right here in Alameda County.

Our teens are living proof every day. Let's keep amplifying what's actually true instead of the myths.

Back-to-school season means new schedules, new stress, and (let's be honest) new opportunities for those tricky conversations with your teen. πŸ“š

The good news? Most teens in our community are already making healthy choices β€” staying focused on friends, activities, and goals that matter to them. But even in a house full of good decisions, parents still want to know how to keep the lines of communication open and what to watch for if something feels off.

That's exactly why we created the 'Saving Face or Saving Lives' Family Resource Guide. It's a one-stop tool packed with real conversation starters, warning signs to be aware of, and tips for building the kind of trust that makes your teen actually want to talk to you.

No lectures. No scare tactics. Just practical support for real families navigating a new school year together.

Feel free to check it out with the link below. And if you know another parent who could use it too, tag them below or share this post β€” let's make sure every family in our community has this in their back pocket this fall. πŸ’›

Here's something worth knowing: the human brain isn't fully developed until around age 25. That's not a typo β€” it's science. The prefrontal cortex, the part responsible for decision-making, impulse control, and judgment, is still very much under construction during your teen years.

That's exactly why this stage of life is so important to protect. When cannabis enters the picture, it can have a huge negative impact on brains that have not fully matured.

The encouraging part? Most teens in our community are already making healthy choices and steering clear of substances during these crucial years β€” and that's something worth celebrating!
