🚨 September is National Preparedness Month

In Kentucky, being prepared means more than having supplies on hand. It means supporting strong rural hospitals, EMS services, clinics, public health agencies, and community partners who help keep our communities safe when emergencies happen.

This year's National Preparedness Month theme, "Americans Stand Ready," reminds us that preparedness starts at home. Take time this month to create an emergency plan, build or update your emergency kit, and make sure your family knows how to stay informed during severe weather, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

At the Kentucky Office of Rural Health, we're proud to support programs and partnerships that strengthen rural Kentucky's ability to respond, recover, and remain resilient.
