Just 3 days ago the Lord prompted me to awaken even earlier in the morning to spend time prayer journaling in the quiet with Him…and what He has already changed in me with just these last 3 morning has been…THE BEST FEELING! So much joy and delight have returned to my spirit.
I read my daily bible plan, I do scripture reading with my boys each morning — so I’m in my Word, but I want alone in the mystery with Him. I was resisting waking up even earlier. My mornings are already so full but last Sunday bedtime became and explosion of kids pushing boundaries so we set an alarm and every night last week at 8:45pm my boys stopped what they were doing to do a quick tidy, brush teeth, get water and head to bed. Another alarm went off at 9 and they had to be in bed. I res them a story and enjoyed some unrushed pillow talk about their day and was able to turn the laundry, close down the house and get myself in bed by 10.
Because the boys were always pushing bedtime later and later it was making my bedtime later and later.
The Lord is showing me SOOOO much about boundaries and routines! He is a God of ORDER after all! Structure, routines, and limits bless us so much! And while I used to think they were restrictive, He is showing me quite the opposite in this season of refinement!
I’m so excited to see what He has planned next! I literally feel like tomorrow is Christmas or something — it’s hard to explain! But I feel on the cusp of an exciting transition and it feels like JOY! It feels like FREEDOM!! And FUN!
I am currently prayer 2 HUGE and BOLD big prayers and believing Him for it and can’t wait to see Him move in me, in my husband and in my family!
