Feedback from one of my favorite people đŸ„č As a small business owner, client reviews mean more than most people realize. Every kind word, recommendation, and shared experience helps build trust, supports our family, and helps new clients feel confident choosing us. When you take 2 minutes to leave a review, you’re not just helping our business grow.. you’re reminding us why we do what we do. We appreciate every single one more than you know. đŸ€

Crazy fact: your brain can temporarily pull away from the skull when you’re dehydrated. Your brain is about 75% water, and even mild dehydration can literally shrink brain tissue 🧠💧

Research has shown that even mild dehydration can reduce brain volume enough to affect concentration, reaction time, memory, and mood, which is why headaches, brain fog, irritability, dizziness, and exhaustion can hit hard long before people realize they’re dehydrated. Your body doesn’t just need water to survive... your brain literally depends on hydration to function properly.

This is your friendly reminder to drink water today!

Unpopular opinion: Leaving patients bruised up and down both arms after an IV is not normal... and patients shouldn’t be made to think it is.

I don't know how many times I have gone into a house where the patient says he/she is "always poked several times" and then I get it first try and they are surprised. Yes, occasionally veins are difficult. Yes, sometimes an IV doesn’t go perfectly on the first attempt. But repeated failed sticks, excessive bruising, and treating patients like a “pin cushion” should never be brushed off as standard care. Nurses tend to blame the patient's anatomy when really, their IV skills (or lack thereof) should be to blame.

In this industry, experience matters. Vein assessment matters. Technique matters. Knowing when to stop, reassess, use ultrasound guidance, or call in a more experienced nurse matters. Patients deserve providers who prioritize skill, comfort, and safety, not just speed or volume. Healthcare should never feel careless.

I have earned a lot of awards and recognition throughout my medical career, but it all goes back to my roots in the Army. Looking back at my Army documents, I am having so much fun reading what my coworkers said about me đŸ„č the Army is where I gained the passion to do better for my patients, and I feel honored everytime someone chooses me to help them ♡ Thank you for your trust in me!

Also, peek at those IV skills 👀
