💜 CYSTIC FIBROSIS AWARENESS MONTH. THIS ONE IS PERSONAL 💜

This month means more to me than I can even put into words.

As many of you know, I’m Danae. One of the founders of C&D Beauty and I was born with Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. It causes the body to produce thick, sticky mucus that can clog the lungs, making it hard to breathe, and impacts the body’s ability to absorb nutrients. It’s a lifelong condition that requires constant care, treatment, and strength.

I was given a life expectancy of just 18 years old.

Most of my childhood was spent in and out of hospitals. I’ve endured 8 sinus surgeries, collapsed lungs, and at birth I had to be life flighted for an emergency, life-saving intestinal procedure. My life has never been “easy” it’s been a constant fight.

To this day, I take 30+ pills a day just to maintain my health (every time I eat I have to take 5-6 pills for my food to digest).

This is also incredibly emotional for me because I’ve met so many people within the CF community over the years.. so many people who were just like me and so many of them have unfortunately passed away from complications of CF. I also know so many families and loved ones who have been impacted by this disease and all I'd love to do this month is utilize this platform and company to help give bak.

This is a huge reason why this month means so much to me. By the grace of God, I am so incredibly grateful to still be here.

In 2020, everything changed. A medication called Trikafta was released and it truly gave me a second chance at life.

Without it, I potentially wouldn’t be here.

Without it, C&D Beauty potentially wouldn’t exist.

I’m about to turn 37 this month… something younger me was never promised. And I don’t take a single day for granted. I am so grateful for the advancements in medicine and for the life I get to live today.

💜 That’s why this month, we’re giving back.

We are donating 10% of sales from select products including TWO new launches that dropped today directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

To make this month even more special, we launched:
